Psalms for Friday

1הֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ“Praise GOD, who is good— whose steadfast love is eternal!”

2יֹאמְרוּ גְּאוּלֵי יְהֹוָה אֲשֶׁר גְּאָלָם מִיַּד־צָֽרThus let GOD’s redeemed say, those redeemed from adversity,

3וּֽמֵאֲרָצוֹת קִבְּצָם מִמִּזְרָח וּמִֽמַּעֲרָב מִצָּפוֹן וּמִיָּֽםwho have been gathered in from the lands, from east and west, from the north and from the sea.

4תָּעוּ בַמִּדְבָּר בִּישִׁימוֹן דָּרֶךְ עִיר מוֹשָׁב לֹא מָצָֽאוּSome lost their way in the wilderness, in the wasteland; they found no settled place.

5רְעֵבִים גַּם־צְמֵאִים נַפְשָׁם בָּהֶם תִּתְעַטָּֽףHungry and thirsty, their spirit failed.

6וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצוּקוֹתֵיהֶם יַצִּילֵֽםIn their adversity they cried to GOD, and they were rescued from their troubles.

7וַֽיַּדְרִיכֵם בְּדֶרֶךְ יְשָׁרָה לָלֶכֶת אֶל־עִיר מוֹשָֽׁבThey were shown a direct way to reach a settled place.

8יוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽםLet them give praise for GOD’s steadfast love and wondrous deeds for humankind—

9כִּֽי־הִשְׂבִּיעַ נֶפֶשׁ שֹׁקֵקָה וְנֶפֶשׁ רְעֵבָה מִלֵּא־טֽוֹבfor satisfying the thirsty, and filling the hungry with all good things.

10יֹשְׁבֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת אֲסִירֵי עֳנִי וּבַרְזֶֽלSome lived in deepest darkness, bound in cruel irons,

11כִּֽי־הִמְרוּ אִמְרֵי־אֵל וַעֲצַת עֶלְיוֹן נָאָֽצוּbecause they defied the word of God, spurned the counsel of the Most High.

12וַיַּכְנַע בֶּעָמָל לִבָּם כָּשְׁלוּ וְאֵין עֹזֵֽרTheir hearts were humbled through suffering; they stumbled with no one to help.

13וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵֽםIn their adversity they cried to GOD, and were rescued from their troubles.

14יוֹצִיאֵם מֵחֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת וּמוֹסְרוֹתֵיהֶם יְנַתֵּֽקThey were brought out of deepest darkness, their bonds broken asunder.

15יוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽםLet them give praise for GOD’s steadfast love and wondrous deeds for humankind—

16כִּי־שִׁבַּר דַּלְתוֹת נְחֹשֶׁת וּבְרִיחֵי בַרְזֶל גִּדֵּֽעַshattering gates of bronze, breaking their iron bars.

17אֱוִלִים מִדֶּרֶךְ פִּשְׁעָם וּֽמֵעֲוֺנֹתֵיהֶם יִתְעַנּֽוּThere were fools who suffered for their sinful way, and for their iniquities.

18כׇּל־אֹכֶל תְּתַעֵב נַפְשָׁם וַיַּגִּיעוּ עַד־שַׁעֲרֵי מָֽוֶתAll food was loathsome to them; they reached the gates of death.

19וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵֽםIn their adversity they cried to GOD and they were saved from their troubles.

20יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיִרְפָּאֵם וִימַלֵּט מִשְּׁחִֽיתוֹתָֽם[God] gave an order and healed them— delivering them from the pits.

21יוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽםLet them give praise for GOD’s steadfast love and wondrous deeds for humankind.

22וְיִזְבְּחוּ זִבְחֵי תוֹדָה וִיסַפְּרוּ מַעֲשָׂיו בְּרִנָּֽהLet them offer thanksgiving sacrifices, and tell those deeds in joyful song.

23יוֹרְדֵי הַיָּם בׇּאֳנִיּוֹת עֹשֵׂי מְלָאכָה בְּמַיִם רַבִּֽיםOthers go down to the sea in ships, ply their trade in the mighty waters;

24הֵמָּה רָאוּ מַעֲשֵׂי יְהֹוָה וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו בִּמְצוּלָֽהthey have seen GOD’s works and such wonders in the deep.

25וַיֹּאמֶר וַֽיַּעֲמֵד רוּחַ סְעָרָה וַתְּרוֹמֵם גַּלָּֽיוGod’s word raised a storm wind that made the waves surge.

26יַעֲלוּ שָׁמַיִם יֵרְדוּ תְהוֹמוֹת נַפְשָׁם בְּרָעָה תִתְמוֹגָֽגMounting up to the heaven, plunging down to the depths, disgorging in their misery,

27יָחוֹגּוּ וְיָנוּעוּ כַּשִּׁכּוֹר וְכׇל־חׇכְמָתָם תִּתְבַּלָּֽעthey reeled and staggered like a drunk, all their skill to no avail.

28וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם וּֽמִמְּצוּקֹתֵיהֶם יוֹצִיאֵֽםIn their adversity they cried to GOD, and were saved from their troubles.

29יָקֵם סְעָרָה לִדְמָמָה וַיֶּחֱשׁוּ גַּלֵּיהֶֽםThe storm was reduced to a whisper; the waves were stilled.

30וַיִּשְׂמְחוּ כִֽי־יִשְׁתֹּקוּ וַיַּנְחֵם אֶל־מְחוֹז חֶפְצָֽםThey rejoiced when all was quiet, and were brought to the port they desired.

31יוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽםLet them give praise for GOD’s steadfast love, and wondrous deeds for humankind.

32וִֽירוֹמְמוּהוּ בִּקְהַל־עָם וּבְמוֹשַׁב זְקֵנִים יְהַלְלֽוּהוּLet them exalt in the congregation of the people, acclaim in the assembly of the elders.

33יָשֵׂם נְהָרוֹת לְמִדְבָּר וּמֹצָאֵי מַיִם לְצִמָּאֽוֹןThe rivers are turned into a wilderness, springs of water into thirsty land,

34אֶרֶץ פְּרִי לִמְלֵחָה מֵרָעַת יוֹשְׁבֵי בָֽהּfruitful land into a salt marsh, because of the wickedness of its inhabitants.

35יָשֵׂם מִדְבָּר לַאֲגַם־מַיִם וְאֶרֶץ צִיָּה לְמֹצָאֵי מָֽיִםThe wilderness is turned into pools, parched land into springs of water.

36וַיּוֹשֶׁב שָׁם רְעֵבִים וַיְכוֹנְנוּ עִיר מוֹשָֽׁבThere the hungry are settled; they build a place to settle in.

37וַיִּזְרְעוּ שָׂדוֹת וַיִּטְּעוּ כְרָמִים וַיַּעֲשׂוּ פְּרִי תְבוּאָֽהThey sow fields and plant vineyards that yield a fruitful harvest.

38וַיְבָרְכֵם וַיִּרְבּוּ מְאֹד וּבְהֶמְתָּם לֹא יַמְעִֽיטThey are blessed and they increase greatly— their cattle do not decrease,

39וַיִּמְעֲטוּ וַיָּשֹׁחוּ מֵעֹצֶר רָעָה וְיָגֽוֹןafter they had been few and crushed by oppression, misery, and sorrow.

40שֹׁפֵךְ בּוּז עַל־נְדִיבִים וַיַּתְעֵם בְּתֹהוּ לֹא־דָֽרֶךְ[God] pours contempt on nobles and makes them lose their way in trackless deserts;

41וַיְשַׂגֵּב אֶבְיוֹן מֵעוֹנִי וַיָּשֶׂם כַּצֹּאן מִשְׁפָּחֽוֹתbut the needy are secured from suffering, their families increased like flocks.

42יִרְאוּ יְשָׁרִים וְיִשְׂמָחוּ וְכׇל־עַוְלָה קָפְצָה פִּֽיהָThe upright see it and rejoice; the mouth of all wrongdoers is stopped.

43מִי־חָכָם וְיִשְׁמׇר־אֵלֶּה וְיִתְבּוֹנְנוּ חַֽסְדֵי יְהֹוָֽהOne who is wise will take note of these things and consider GOD’s steadfast love.

1שִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִֽדA song. A psalm of David.

2נָכוֹן לִבִּי אֱלֹהִים אָשִׁירָה וַאֲזַמְּרָה אַף־כְּבוֹדִֽיMy heart is firm, O God; I will sing and chant a hymn with all my soul.

3עוּרָֽה הַנֵּבֶל וְכִנּוֹר אָעִירָה שָּֽׁחַרAwake, O harp and lyre! I will wake the dawn.

4אוֹדְךָ בָעַמִּים יְהֹוָה וַאֲזַמֶּרְךָ בַּלְאֻמִּֽיםI will praise You among the peoples, O ETERNAL One, sing a hymn to You among the nations;

5כִּי־גָדוֹל מֵעַל־שָׁמַיִם חַסְדֶּךָ וְֽעַד־שְׁחָקִים אֲמִתֶּֽךָfor Your faithfulness is higher than the heavens; Your steadfastness reaches to the sky.

6רוּמָה עַל־שָׁמַיִם אֱלֹהִים וְעַל כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדֶֽךָExalt Yourself over the heavens, O God; let Your glory be over all the earth!

7לְמַעַן יֵחָלְצוּן יְדִידֶיךָ הוֹשִׁיעָה יְמִֽינְךָ וַעֲנֵֽנִיThat those whom You love may be rescued, deliver with Your right hand and answer me.

8אֱלֹהִים דִּבֶּר בְּקׇדְשׁוֹ אֶעְלֹזָה אֲחַלְּקָה שְׁכֶם וְעֵמֶק סֻכּוֹת אֲמַדֵּֽדGod promised in the sanctuary that I would exultingly divide up Shechem, and measure the Valley of Sukkoth;

9לִי גִלְעָד לִי מְנַשֶּׁה וְאֶפְרַיִם מָעוֹז רֹאשִׁי יְהוּדָה מְחֹקְקִֽיGilead and Manasseh would be mine, Ephraim my chief stronghold, Judah my scepter;

10מוֹאָב סִיר רַחְצִי עַל־אֱדוֹם אַשְׁלִיךְ נַעֲלִי עֲלֵי־פְלֶשֶׁת אֶתְרוֹעָֽעMoab would be my washbasin; on Edom I would cast my shoe; I would raise a shout over Philistia.

11מִי יֹבִלֵנִי עִיר מִבְצָר מִי נָחַנִי עַד־אֱדֽוֹםWould that I were brought to the bastion! Would that I were led to Edom!

12הֲלֹֽא־אֱלֹהִים זְנַחְתָּנוּ וְֽלֹא־תֵצֵא אֱלֹהִים בְּצִבְאֹתֵֽינוּBut You have rejected us, O God; God, You do not march with our armies.

13הָבָה־לָּנוּ עֶזְרָת מִצָּר וְשָׁוְא תְּשׁוּעַת אָדָֽםGrant us Your aid against the foe, for human help is worthless.

14בֵּאלֹהִים נַֽעֲשֶׂה־חָיִל וְהוּא יָבוּס צָרֵֽינוּWe shall triumph with God, who will trample our foes.

1לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר אֱלֹהֵי תְהִלָּתִי אַֽל־תֶּחֱרַֽשׁFor the leader. Of David. A psalm. O God of my praise, do not keep aloof,

2כִּי פִי רָשָׁע וּֽפִי־מִרְמָה עָלַי פָּתָחוּ דִּבְּרוּ אִתִּי לְשׁוֹן שָֽׁקֶרfor the wicked and the deceitful open their mouth against me; they speak to me with lying tongue.

3וְדִבְרֵי שִׂנְאָה סְבָבוּנִי וַיִּֽלָּחֲמוּנִי חִנָּֽםThey encircle me with words of hate; they attack me without cause.

4תַּֽחַת־אַהֲבָתִי יִשְׂטְנוּנִי וַאֲנִי תְפִלָּֽהThey answer my love with accusation and I must stand judgment

5וַיָּשִׂימוּ עָלַי רָעָה תַּחַת טוֹבָה וְשִׂנְאָה תַּחַת אַהֲבָתִֽיThey repay me with evil for good, with hatred for my love.

6הַפְקֵד עָלָיו רָשָׁע וְשָׂטָן יַעֲמֹד עַל־יְמִינֽוֹAppoint someone wicked over him; may an accuser stand at his right side;

7בְּהִשָּׁפְטוֹ יֵצֵא רָשָׁע וּתְפִלָּתוֹ תִּֽהְיֶה לַחֲטָאָֽהmay he be tried and convicted; may he be judged and found guilty.

8יִֽהְיוּ־יָמָיו מְעַטִּים פְּקֻדָּתוֹ יִקַּח אַחֵֽרMay his days be few; may another take over his position.

9יִֽהְיוּ־בָנָיו יְתוֹמִים וְאִשְׁתּוֹ אַלְמָנָֽהMay his children be orphans, his wife a widow.

10וְנוֹעַ יָנוּעוּ בָנָיו וְשִׁאֵלוּ וְדָרְשׁוּ מֵחׇרְבֽוֹתֵיהֶֽםMay his children wander from their hovels, begging in search of [bread].

11יְנַקֵּשׁ נוֹשֶׁה לְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ וְיָבֹזּוּ זָרִים יְגִיעֽוֹMay his creditor seize all his possessions; may strangers plunder his wealth.

12אַל־יְהִי־לוֹ מֹשֵׁךְ חָסֶד וְֽאַל־יְהִי חוֹנֵן לִֽיתוֹמָֽיוMay no one show him mercy; may none pity his orphans;

13יְהִי־אַחֲרִיתוֹ לְהַכְרִית בְּדוֹר אַחֵר יִמַּח שְׁמָֽםmay his posterity be cut off; may their names be blotted out in the next generation.

14יִזָּכֵר עֲוֺן אֲבֹתָיו אֶל־יְהֹוָה וְחַטַּאת אִמּוֹ אַל־תִּמָּֽחMay God be ever mindful of his father’s iniquity, and may the sin of his mother not be blotted out.

15יִהְיוּ נֶגֶד־יְהֹוָה תָּמִיד וְיַכְרֵת מֵאֶרֶץ זִכְרָֽםMay GOD be aware of them always and cause their names to be cut off from the earth,

16יַעַן אֲשֶׁר לֹא זָכַר עֲשׂוֹת חָסֶד וַיִּרְדֹּף אִישׁ־עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן וְנִכְאֵה לֵבָב לְמוֹתֵֽתbecause he was not minded to act kindly, and hounded to death the poor and needy man, one crushed in spirit.

17וַיֶּאֱהַב קְלָלָה וַתְּבוֹאֵהוּ וְֽלֹא־חָפֵץ בִּבְרָכָה וַתִּרְחַק מִמֶּֽנּוּHe loved to curse—may a curse come upon him! He would not bless—may blessing be far from him!

18וַיִּלְבַּשׁ קְלָלָה כְּמַדּוֹ וַתָּבֹא כַמַּיִם בְּקִרְבּוֹ וְכַשֶּׁמֶן בְּעַצְמוֹתָֽיוMay he be clothed in a curse like a garment, may it enter his body like water, his bones like oil.

19תְּהִי־לוֹ כְּבֶגֶד יַעְטֶה וּלְמֵזַח תָּמִיד יַחְגְּרֶֽהָLet it be like the cloak he wraps around him, like the belt he always wears.

20זֹאת פְּעֻלַּת שֹׂטְנַי מֵאֵת יְהֹוָה וְהַדֹּבְרִים רָע עַל־נַפְשִֽׁיMay GOD thus repay my accusers, all those who speak evil against me.

21וְאַתָּה יֱהֹוִה אֲדֹנָי עֲֽשֵׂה־אִתִּי לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ כִּי־טוֹב חַסְדְּךָ הַצִּילֵֽנִיNow You, O GOD, my Sovereign, act in my behalf as befits Your name. Good and faithful as You are, save me.

22כִּי־עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן אָנֹכִי וְלִבִּי חָלַל בְּקִרְבִּֽיFor I am poor and needy, and my heart is pierced within me.

23כְּצֵל־כִּנְטוֹתוֹ נֶהֱלָכְתִּי נִנְעַרְתִּי כָּאַרְבֶּֽהI fade away like a lengthening shadow; I am shaken off like locusts.

24בִּרְכַּי כָּשְׁלוּ מִצּוֹם וּבְשָׂרִי כָּחַשׁ מִשָּֽׁמֶןMy knees give way from fasting; my flesh is lean, has lost its fat.

25וַאֲנִי הָיִיתִי חֶרְפָּה לָהֶם יִרְאוּנִי יְנִיעוּן רֹאשָֽׁםI am the object of their scorn; when they see me, they shake their head.

26עׇזְרֵנִי יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהָי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי כְחַסְדֶּֽךָHelp me, O my ETERNAL God; save me in accord with Your faithfulness—

27וְֽיֵדְעוּ כִּי־יָדְךָ זֹּאת אַתָּה יְהֹוָה עֲשִׂיתָֽהּthat all may know that it is Your hand, that You, O ETERNAL One, have done it.

28יְקַֽלְלוּ־הֵמָּה וְאַתָּה תְבָרֵךְ קָמוּ וַיֵּבֹשׁוּ וְֽעַבְדְּךָ יִשְׂמָֽחLet them curse, but You bless; let them rise up, but come to grief, while Your servant rejoices.

29יִלְבְּשׁוּ שׂוֹטְנַי כְּלִמָּה וְיַעֲטוּ כַמְעִיל בׇּשְׁתָּֽםMy accusers shall be clothed in shame, wrapped in their disgrace as in a robe.

30אוֹדֶה יְהֹוָה מְאֹד בְּפִי וּבְתוֹךְ רַבִּים אֲהַלְלֶֽנּוּMy mouth shall sing much praise to GOD; I will acclaim in the midst of a throng,

31כִּֽי־יַעֲמֹד לִימִין אֶבְיוֹן לְהוֹשִׁיעַ מִשֹּׁפְטֵי נַפְשֽׁוֹbecause [God] stands at the right hand of the needy, to save them from those who would condemn them.

1לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר נְאֻם יְהֹוָה לַֽאדֹנִי שֵׁב לִֽימִינִי עַד־אָשִׁית אֹיְבֶיךָ הֲדֹם לְרַגְלֶֽיךָOf David. A psalm. GOD said to my lord, “Sit at My right hand while I make your enemies your footstool.”

2מַטֵּֽה־עֻזְּךָ יִשְׁלַח יְהֹוָה מִצִּיּוֹן רְדֵה בְּקֶרֶב אֹיְבֶֽיךָGOD will stretch forth from Zion your mighty scepter; hold sway over your enemies!

3עַמְּךָ נְדָבֹת בְּיוֹם חֵילֶךָ בְּֽהַדְרֵי־קֹדֶשׁ מֵרֶחֶם מִשְׁחָר לְךָ טַל יַלְדֻתֶֽיךָYour people come forward willingly on your day of battle. In majestic holiness, from the womb, from the dawn, yours was the dew of youth.

4נִשְׁבַּע יְהֹוָה וְלֹא יִנָּחֵם אַתָּֽה־כֹהֵן לְעוֹלָם עַל־דִּבְרָתִי מַלְכִּי־צֶֽדֶקGOD has sworn and will not relent, “You are a priest forever, a rightful king by My decree.”

5אֲדֹנָי עַל־יְמִֽינְךָ מָחַץ בְּיוֹם־אַפּוֹ מְלָכִֽיםMy Sovereign is at your right hand— crushing kings in the day of divine anger.

6יָדִין בַּגּוֹיִם מָלֵא גְוִיּוֹת מָחַץ רֹאשׁ עַל־אֶרֶץ רַבָּֽה[God] works judgment upon the nations, heaping up bodies, crushing heads far and wide.

7מִנַּחַל בַּדֶּרֶךְ יִשְׁתֶּה עַל־כֵּן יָרִים רֹֽאשׁMy lord drinks from the stream on his way; therefore he holds his head high.

1הַלְלוּ־יָהּ אוֹדֶה יְהֹוָה בְּכׇל־לֵבָב בְּסוֹד יְשָׁרִים וְעֵדָֽהHallelujah. אI praise GOD with all my heart בin the assembled congregation of the upright.

2גְּדֹלִים מַעֲשֵׂי יְהֹוָה דְּרוּשִׁים לְכׇל־חֶפְצֵיהֶֽםגGOD’s works are great, דwithin reach of all who desire them.

3הוֹד־וְהָדָר פׇּעֳלוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַֽדהSplendid and glorious are God’s deeds; וGod’s beneficence is everlasting;

4זֵכֶר עָשָׂה לְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם יְהֹוָֽהזrenowned are God’s wonders. חGOD is gracious and compassionate—

5טֶרֶף נָתַן לִירֵאָיו יִזְכֹּר לְעוֹלָם בְּרִיתֽוֹטgiving food to those who show reverence, יand ever mindful of the covenant—

6כֹּחַ מַעֲשָׂיו הִגִּיד לְעַמּוֹ לָתֵת לָהֶם נַחֲלַת גּוֹיִֽםכrevealing powerful works to this people, לand giving them the heritage of nations.

7מַעֲשֵׂי יָדָיו אֱמֶת וּמִשְׁפָּט נֶאֱמָנִים כׇּל־פִּקּוּדָֽיומTruth and justice are God’s handiwork— נwhose precepts are enduring,

8סְמוּכִים לָעַד לְעוֹלָם עֲשׂוּיִם בֶּאֱמֶת וְיָשָֽׁרסwell-founded for all eternity, עעwrought of truth and equity.

9פְּדוּת שָׁלַח לְעַמּוֹ צִוָּֽה־לְעוֹלָם בְּרִיתוֹ קָדוֹשׁ וְנוֹרָא שְׁמֽוֹפRedeeming this people, צ[God] ordained the covenant for all time; קholy and awesome is God’s name.

10רֵאשִׁית חׇכְמָה יִרְאַת יְהֹוָה שֵׂכֶל טוֹב לְכׇל־עֹֽשֵׂיהֶם תְּהִלָּתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַֽדרThe beginning of wisdom is reverence toward GOD; שall who practice it gain sound understanding. תPraise of [God] is everlasting.

1הַלְלוּ־יָהּ אַשְׁרֵי־אִישׁ יָרֵא אֶת־יְהֹוָה בְּמִצְוֺתָיו חָפֵץ מְאֹֽדHallelujah. א Happy are those who fear GOD, who are ardently devoted to God’s commandments.

2גִּבּוֹר בָּאָרֶץ יִהְיֶה זַרְעוֹ דּוֹר יְשָׁרִים יְבֹרָֽךְג Their descendants will be mighty in the land, ד a blessed generation of the upright.

3הוֹן־וָעֹשֶׁר בְּבֵיתוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַֽדה Wealth and riches are in their house, ו and their beneficence lasts forever.

4זָרַח בַּחֹשֶׁךְ אוֹר לַיְשָׁרִים חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם וְצַדִּֽיקז A light shines for the upright in the darkness; gracious, compassionate, and beneficent.

5טֽוֹב־אִישׁ חוֹנֵן וּמַלְוֶה יְכַלְכֵּל דְּבָרָיו בְּמִשְׁפָּֽטח ט All goes well with those who lend generously, יwho conduct affairs with equity.

6כִּֽי־לְעוֹלָם לֹֽא־יִמּוֹט לְזֵכֶר עוֹלָם יִהְיֶה צַדִּֽיקכ They shall never be shaken; לthe beneficent will be remembered forever.

7מִשְּׁמוּעָה רָעָה לֹא יִירָא נָכוֹן לִבּוֹ בָּטֻחַ בַּיהֹוָֽהמ They are not afraid of evil tidings; נtheir heart is firm, they trust in GOD.

8סָמוּךְ לִבּוֹ לֹא יִירָא עַד אֲשֶׁר־יִרְאֶה בְצָרָֽיוס Their heart is resolute, they are unafraid; עin the end they will see the fall of their foes.

9פִּזַּר נָתַן לָאֶבְיוֹנִים צִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד קַרְנוֹ תָּרוּם בְּכָבֽוֹדפ They give freely to the poor; צtheir beneficence lasts forever; קtheir horn is exalted in honor.

10רָשָׁע יִרְאֶה וְכָעָס שִׁנָּיו יַחֲרֹק וְנָמָס תַּאֲוַת רְשָׁעִים תֹּאבֵֽדר The wicked shall see it and be vexed; שthey shall gnash their teeth; their courage shall fail. תThe desire of the wicked shall come to nothing.

1הַלְלוּ־יָהּ הַלְלוּ עַבְדֵי יְהֹוָה הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁם יְהֹוָֽהש ת Hallelujah. O servants of GOD, give praise; praise the name of GOD.

2יְהִי שֵׁם יְהֹוָה מְבֹרָךְ מֵעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽםLet GOD’s name be blessed now and forever.

3מִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁמֶשׁ עַד־מְבוֹאוֹ מְהֻלָּל שֵׁם יְהֹוָֽהFrom east to west GOD’s name is praised.

4רָם עַל־כׇּל־גּוֹיִם יְהֹוָה עַל הַשָּׁמַיִם כְּבוֹדֽוֹGOD is exalted above all nations; God’s glory is above the heavens.

5מִי כַּיהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַֽמַּגְבִּיהִי לָשָֽׁבֶתWho is like the ETERNAL our God— the One who, enthroned on high,

6הַֽמַּשְׁפִּילִי לִרְאוֹת בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָֽרֶץsees what is below, in heaven and on earth?

7מְקִימִי מֵעָפָר דָּל מֵאַשְׁפֹּת יָרִים אֶבְיֽוֹן[God] raises the poor from the dust, lifts up the needy from the refuse heap

8לְהוֹשִׁיבִי עִם־נְדִיבִים עִם נְדִיבֵי עַמּֽוֹto set them with the nobles, with the nobles of God’s people,

9מֽוֹשִׁיבִי עֲקֶרֶת הַבַּיִת אֵֽם־הַבָּנִים שְׂמֵחָה הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּand sets the childless woman among her household as a happy mother of children. Hallelujah.

1בְּצֵאת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרָיִם בֵּית יַעֲקֹב מֵעַם לֹעֵֽזWhen Israel went forth from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange speech,

2הָיְתָה יְהוּדָה לְקׇדְשׁוֹ יִשְׂרָאֵל מַמְשְׁלוֹתָֽיוJudah became God’s holy one, Israel, God’s dominion.

3הַיָּם רָאָה וַיָּנֹס הַיַּרְדֵּן יִסֹּב לְאָחֽוֹרThe sea saw them and fled, Jordan ran backward,

4הֶהָרִים רָקְדוּ כְאֵילִים גְּבָעוֹת כִּבְנֵי־צֹֽאןmountains skipped like rams, hills like sheep.

5מַה־לְּךָ הַיָּם כִּי תָנוּס הַיַּרְדֵּן תִּסֹּב לְאָחֽוֹרWhat alarmed you, O sea, that you fled, Jordan, that you ran backward,

6הֶהָרִים תִּרְקְדוּ כְאֵילִים גְּבָעוֹת כִּבְנֵי־צֹֽאןmountains, that you skipped like rams, hills, like sheep?

7מִלִּפְנֵי אָדוֹן חוּלִי אָרֶץ מִלִּפְנֵי אֱלוֹהַּ יַעֲקֹֽבTremble, O earth, at the presence of the Sovereign, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

8הַהֹפְכִי הַצּוּר אֲגַם־מָיִם חַלָּמִישׁ לְמַעְיְנוֹ־מָֽיִםwho turned the rock into a pool of water, the flinty rock into a fountain.

1לֹא לָנוּ יְהֹוָה לֹא־לָנוּ כִּֽי־לְשִׁמְךָ תֵּן כָּבוֹד עַל־חַסְדְּךָ עַל־אֲמִתֶּֽךָNot to us, O ETERNAL One, not to us but to Your name bring glory for the sake of Your love and Your faithfulness.

2לָמָּה יֹאמְרוּ הַגּוֹיִם אַיֵּה־נָא אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽםLet the nations not say, “Where, now, is their God?”

3וֵאלֹהֵינוּ בַשָּׁמָיִם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־חָפֵץ עָשָֽׂהwhen our God is in heaven and whatever [God] wants is accomplished.

4עֲֽצַבֵּיהֶם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָֽםTheir idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands.

5פֶּֽה־לָהֶם וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ עֵינַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִרְאֽוּThey have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see;

6אׇזְנַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִשְׁמָעוּ אַף לָהֶם וְלֹא יְרִיחֽוּןthey have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell;

7יְדֵיהֶם וְלֹא יְמִישׁוּן רַגְלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יְהַלֵּכוּ לֹא־יֶהְגּוּ בִּגְרוֹנָֽםthey have hands, but cannot touch, feet, but cannot walk; they can make no sound in their throats.

8כְּמוֹהֶם יִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂיהֶם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵחַ בָּהֶֽםThose who fashion them, all who trust in them, shall become like them.

9יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּטַח בַּיהֹוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּאO Israel, trust in GOD— who is your help and shield.

10בֵּית אַהֲרֹן בִּטְחוּ בַיהֹוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּאO house of Aaron, trust in GOD— who is your help and shield.

11יִרְאֵי יְהֹוָה בִּטְחוּ בַיהֹוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּאO you who fear GOD, trust in GOD— who is your help and shield.

12יְהֹוָה זְכָרָנוּ יְבָרֵךְ יְבָרֵךְ אֶת־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל יְבָרֵךְ אֶת־בֵּית אַהֲרֹֽןGOD, mindful of us, will bless us— blessing the house of Israel, blessing the house of Aaron,

13יְבָרֵךְ יִרְאֵי יְהֹוָה הַקְּטַנִּים עִם־הַגְּדֹלִֽיםand blessing those who revere GOD, small and great alike.

14יֹסֵף יְהֹוָה עֲלֵיכֶם עֲלֵיכֶם וְעַל־בְּנֵיכֶֽםMay GOD increase your numbers, yours and your children’s also.

15בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם לַיהֹוָה עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָֽרֶץMay you be blessed by GOD, Maker of heaven and earth.

16הַשָּׁמַיִם שָׁמַיִם לַיהֹוָה וְהָאָרֶץ נָתַן לִבְנֵי־אָדָֽםThe heavens belong to GOD, but the earth was given over to humankind.

17לֹא הַמֵּתִים יְהַֽלְלוּ־יָהּ וְלֹא כׇּל־יֹרְדֵי דוּמָֽהThe dead cannot praise Yah, nor any who go down into silence.

18וַאֲנַחְנוּ נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ מֵעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּBut we will bless Yah now and forever. Hallelujah.

1אָהַבְתִּי כִּי־יִשְׁמַע יְהֹוָה אֶת־קוֹלִי תַּחֲנוּנָֽיI love the ETERNAL One for hearing my voice, my pleas;

2כִּֽי־הִטָּה אׇזְנוֹ לִי וּבְיָמַי אֶקְרָֽאfor turning an ear to me whenever I call.

3אֲפָפוּנִי חֶבְלֵי־מָוֶת וּמְצָרֵי שְׁאוֹל מְצָאוּנִי צָרָה וְיָגוֹן אֶמְצָֽאThe bonds of death encompassed me; the torments of Sheol overtook me. I came upon trouble and sorrow

4וּבְשֵֽׁם־יְהֹוָה אֶקְרָא אָנָּה יְהֹוָה מַלְּטָה נַפְשִֽׁיand I invoked GOD’s name, “O ETERNAL One, save my life!”

5חַנּוּן יְהֹוָה וְצַדִּיק וֵאלֹהֵינוּ מְרַחֵֽםGOD is gracious and beneficent; our God is compassionate.

6שֹׁמֵר פְּתָאיִם יְהֹוָה דַּלֹּתִי וְלִי יְהוֹשִֽׁיעַGOD protects the simple; I was saved, after having been brought low.

7שׁוּבִי נַפְשִׁי לִמְנוּחָיְכִי כִּֽי־יְהֹוָה גָּמַל עָלָֽיְכִיBe at rest, once again, O my soul, for GOD has been good to you.

8כִּי חִלַּצְתָּ נַפְשִׁי מִמָּוֶת אֶת־עֵינִי מִן־דִּמְעָה אֶת־רַגְלִי מִדֶּֽחִיYou have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

9אֶתְהַלֵּךְ לִפְנֵי יְהֹוָה בְּאַרְצוֹת הַחַיִּֽיםI shall walk before GOD in the lands of the living.

10הֶאֱמַנְתִּי כִּי אֲדַבֵּר אֲנִי עָנִיתִי מְאֹֽדI trust [in GOD]; out of great suffering I spoke

11אֲנִי אָמַרְתִּי בְחׇפְזִי כׇּֽל־הָאָדָם כֹּזֵֽבand said rashly, “All people are false.”

12מָה־אָשִׁיב לַיהֹוָה כׇּֽל־תַּגְמוּלוֹהִי עָלָֽיHow can I repay GOD for all the bounties given to me?

13כּוֹס־יְשׁוּעוֹת אֶשָּׂא וּבְשֵׁם יְהֹוָה אֶקְרָֽאI raise the cup of deliverance and invoke GOD’s name.

14נְדָרַי לַיהֹוָה אֲשַׁלֵּם נֶגְדָה־נָּא לְכׇל־עַמּֽוֹI will pay my vows to GOD in the presence of all those assembled.

15יָקָר בְּעֵינֵי יְהֹוָה הַמָּוְתָה לַחֲסִידָֽיוThe death of God’s faithful ones is grievous in GOD’s sight.

16אָנָּה יְהֹוָה כִּי־אֲנִי עַבְדֶּךָ אֲֽנִי־עַבְדְּךָ בֶּן־אֲמָתֶךָ פִּתַּחְתָּ לְמֽוֹסֵרָֽיO ETERNAL One, I am Your servant, Your servant, the child of Your maidservant; You have undone the cords that bound me.

17לְֽךָ־אֶזְבַּח זֶבַח תּוֹדָה וּבְשֵׁם יְהֹוָה אֶקְרָֽאI will sacrifice a thank offering to You and invoke GOD’s name.

18נְדָרַי לַיהֹוָה אֲשַׁלֵּם נֶגְדָה־נָּא לְכׇל־עַמּֽוֹI will pay my vows to GOD in the presence of all those assembled,

19בְּחַצְרוֹת בֵּית יְהֹוָה בְּֽתוֹכֵכִי יְֽרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּin the courts of GOD’s house, in the midst of Jerusalem. Hallelujah.

1הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־יְהֹוָה כׇּל־גּוֹיִם שַׁבְּחוּהוּ כׇּל־הָאֻמִּֽיםPraise GOD, all you nations; extol [God], all you peoples,

2כִּי־גָבַר עָלֵינוּ חַסְדּוֹ וֶאֱמֶת־יְהֹוָה לְעוֹלָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּfor great is this steadfast love toward us; GOD’s faithfulness endures forever. Hallelujah.

1הוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹPraise GOD, who is good— whose steadfast love is eternal.

2יֹאמַר־נָא יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹLet Israel declare, “God’s steadfast love is eternal.”

3יֹאמְרוּ־נָא בֵֽית־אַהֲרֹן כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹLet the house of Aaron declare, “God’s steadfast love is eternal.”

4יֹאמְרוּ־נָא יִרְאֵי יְהֹוָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹLet those who fear GOD declare, “God’s steadfast love is eternal.”

5מִֽן־הַמֵּצַר קָרָאתִי יָּהּ עָנָנִי בַמֶּרְחָב יָֽהּIn distress I called on Yah; Yah answered me and brought me relief.

6יְהֹוָה לִי לֹא אִירָא מַה־יַּעֲשֶׂה לִי אָדָֽםGOD is on my side, I have no fear; what can mortals do to me?

7יְהֹוָה לִי בְּעֹזְרָי וַאֲנִי אֶרְאֶה בְשֹׂנְאָֽיWith GOD on my side as my helper, I will see the downfall of my foes.

8טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהֹוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בָּאָדָֽםIt is better to take refuge in GOD than to trust in mortals;

9טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהֹוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בִּנְדִיבִֽיםit is better to take refuge in GOD than to trust in the great.

10כׇּל־גּוֹיִם סְבָבוּנִי בְּשֵׁם יְהֹוָה כִּי אֲמִילַֽםAll nations have beset me; by GOD’s name I will surely cut them down.

11סַבּוּנִי גַם־סְבָבוּנִי בְּשֵׁם יְהֹוָה כִּי אֲמִילַֽםThey beset me, they surround me; by GOD’s name I will surely cut them down.

12סַבּוּנִי כִדְבוֹרִים דֹּעֲכוּ כְּאֵשׁ קוֹצִים בְּשֵׁם יְהֹוָה כִּי אֲמִילַֽםThey have beset me like bees; they shall be extinguished like burning thorns; by GOD’s name I will surely cut them down.

13דַּחֹה דְחִיתַנִי לִנְפֹּל וַיהֹוָה עֲזָרָֽנִיYou pressed me hard, I nearly fell; but GOD helped me.

14עׇזִּי וְזִמְרָת יָהּ וַֽיְהִי־לִי לִישׁוּעָֽהYah is my strength and might, and has become my deliverance.

15קוֹל רִנָּה וִישׁוּעָה בְּאׇהֳלֵי צַדִּיקִים יְמִין יְהֹוָה עֹשָׂה חָֽיִלThe tents of the victorious resound with joyous shouts of deliverance, “GOD’s right hand is triumphant!

16יְמִין יְהֹוָה רוֹמֵמָה יְמִין יְהֹוָה עֹשָׂה חָֽיִלGOD’s right hand is exalted! GOD’s right hand is triumphant!”

17לֹא־אָמוּת כִּֽי־אֶחְיֶה וַאֲסַפֵּר מַעֲשֵׂי יָֽהּI shall not die but live and proclaim the works of Yah.

18יַסֹּר יִסְּרַנִּי יָּהּ וְלַמָּוֶת לֹא נְתָנָֽנִיYah punished me severely, but did not hand me over to death.

19פִּתְחוּ־לִי שַׁעֲרֵי־צֶדֶק אָבֹא־בָם אוֹדֶה יָֽהּOpen the gates of victory for me that I may enter them and praise Yah.

20זֶה־הַשַּׁעַר לַיהֹוָה צַדִּיקִים יָבֹאוּ בֽוֹThis is the gateway to GOD— the victorious shall enter through it.

21אוֹדְךָ כִּי עֲנִיתָנִי וַתְּהִי־לִי לִישׁוּעָֽהI praise You, for You have answered me, and have become my deliverance.

22אֶבֶן מָאֲסוּ הַבּוֹנִים הָיְתָה לְרֹאשׁ פִּנָּֽהThe stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

23מֵאֵת יְהֹוָה הָיְתָה זֹּאת הִיא נִפְלָאת בְּעֵינֵֽינוּThis is GOD’s doing; it is marvelous in our sight.

24זֶה־הַיּוֹם עָשָׂה יְהֹוָה נָגִילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בֽוֹThis is the day that GOD has made— let us exult and rejoice on it.

25אָנָּא יְהֹוָה הוֹשִׁיעָה נָּא אָנָּא יְהֹוָה הַצְלִיחָה נָּֽאO ETERNAL One, deliver us! O ETERNAL One, let us prosper!

26בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא בְּשֵׁם יְהֹוָה בֵּרַכְנוּכֶם מִבֵּית יְהֹוָֽהMay everyone who enters be blessed in the name of GOD; we bless you from the House of GOD.

27אֵל יְהֹוָה וַיָּאֶר לָנוּ אִסְרוּ־חַג בַּעֲבֹתִים עַד־קַרְנוֹת הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַThe ETERNAL is God, who has given us light; bind the festal offering to the horns of the altar with cords.

28אֵלִי אַתָּה וְאוֹדֶךָּ אֱלֹהַי אֲרוֹמְמֶֽךָּYou are my God and I will praise You; You are my God and I will extol You.

29הוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹPraise GOD, who is good— whose steadfast love is eternal.

1אַשְׁרֵי תְמִֽימֵי־דָרֶךְ הַהֹלְכִים בְּתוֹרַת יְהֹוָֽהא Happy are those whose way is blameless, who follow GOD’s teaching.

2אַשְׁרֵי נֹצְרֵי עֵדֹתָיו בְּכׇל־לֵב יִדְרְשֽׁוּהוּHappy are those who observe God’s decrees, who turn to the divine wholeheartedly.

3אַף לֹא־פָעֲלוּ עַוְלָה בִּדְרָכָיו הָלָֽכוּThey have done no wrong, but have followed God’s ways.

4אַתָּה צִוִּיתָה פִקֻּדֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר מְאֹֽדYou have commanded that Your precepts be kept diligently.

5אַחֲלַי יִכֹּנוּ דְרָכָי לִשְׁמֹר חֻקֶּֽיךָWould that my ways were firm in keeping Your laws;

6אָז לֹא־אֵבוֹשׁ בְּהַבִּיטִי אֶל־כׇּל־מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָthen I would not be ashamed when I regard all Your commandments.

7אוֹדְךָ בְּיֹשֶׁר לֵבָב בְּלׇמְדִי מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָI will praise You with a sincere heart as I learn Your just rules.

8אֶת־חֻקֶּיךָ אֶשְׁמֹר אַֽל־תַּעַזְבֵנִי עַד־מְאֹֽדI will keep Your laws; do not utterly forsake me.

9בַּמֶּה יְזַכֶּה־נַּעַר אֶת־אׇרְחוֹ לִשְׁמֹר כִּדְבָרֶֽךָב How can youths keep their way pure?— by holding to Your word.

10בְּכׇל־לִבִּי דְרַשְׁתִּיךָ אַל־תַּשְׁגֵּנִי מִמִּצְוֺתֶֽיךָI have turned to You with all my heart; do not let me stray from Your commandments.

11בְּלִבִּי צָפַנְתִּי אִמְרָתֶךָ לְמַעַן לֹא אֶחֱטָא־לָֽךְIn my heart I treasure Your promise; therefore I do not sin against You.

12בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָBlessed are You, O ETERNAL One; train me in Your laws.

13בִּשְׂפָתַי סִפַּרְתִּי כֹּל מִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיךָWith my lips I rehearse all the rules You proclaimed.

14בְּדֶרֶךְ עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ שַּׂשְׂתִּי כְּעַל כׇּל־הֽוֹןI rejoice over the way of Your decrees as over all riches.

15בְּפִקּוּדֶיךָ אָשִׂיחָה וְאַבִּיטָה אֹֽרְחֹתֶֽיךָI study Your precepts; I regard Your ways;

16בְּחֻקֹּתֶיךָ אֶֽשְׁתַּעֲשָׁע לֹא אֶשְׁכַּח דְּבָרֶֽךָI take delight in Your laws; I will not neglect Your word.

17גְּמֹל עַל־עַבְדְּךָ אֶחְיֶה וְאֶשְׁמְרָה דְבָרֶֽךָג Deal kindly with Your servant, that I may live to keep Your word.

18גַּל־עֵינַי וְאַבִּיטָה נִפְלָאוֹת מִתּוֹרָתֶֽךָOpen my eyes, that I may perceive the wonders of Your teaching.

19גֵּר אָנֹכִי בָאָרֶץ אַל־תַּסְתֵּר מִמֶּנִּי מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָI am only a sojourner in the land; do not hide Your commandments from me.

20גָּרְסָה נַפְשִׁי לְתַאֲבָה אֶֽל־מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ בְכׇל־עֵֽתMy soul is consumed with longing for Your rules at all times.

21גָּעַרְתָּ זֵדִים אֲרוּרִים הַשֹּׁגִים מִמִּצְוֺתֶֽיךָYou blast the accursed insolent ones who stray from Your commandments.

22גַּל מֵעָלַי חֶרְפָּה וָבוּז כִּי עֵדֹתֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּיTake away from me taunt and abuse, because I observe Your decrees.

23גַּם יָשְׁבוּ שָׂרִים בִּי נִדְבָּרוּ עַבְדְּךָ יָשִׂיחַ בְּחֻקֶּֽיךָThough princes meet and speak against me, Your servant studies Your laws.

24גַּֽם־עֵדֹתֶיךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָי אַנְשֵׁי עֲצָתִֽיFor Your decrees are my delight, my intimate companions.

25דָּבְקָה לֶעָפָר נַפְשִׁי חַיֵּנִי כִּדְבָרֶֽךָד My soul clings to the dust; revive me in accordance with Your word.

26דְּרָכַי סִפַּרְתִּי וַֽתַּעֲנֵנִי לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָI have declared my way, and You have answered me; train me in Your laws.

27דֶּרֶךְ־פִּקּוּדֶיךָ הֲבִינֵנִי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְּנִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָMake me understand the way of Your precepts, that I may study Your wondrous acts.

28דָּלְפָה נַפְשִׁי מִתּוּגָה קַיְּמֵנִי כִּדְבָרֶֽךָI am racked with grief; sustain me in accordance with Your word.

29דֶּֽרֶךְ־שֶׁקֶר הָסֵר מִמֶּנִּי וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ חׇנֵּֽנִיRemove all false ways from me; favor me with Your teaching.

30דֶּֽרֶךְ־אֱמוּנָה בָחָרְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ שִׁוִּֽיתִיI have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set Your rules before me.

31דָּבַקְתִּי בְעֵדְוֺתֶיךָ יְהֹוָה אַל־תְּבִישֵֽׁנִיI cling to Your decrees; O ETERNAL One, do not put me to shame.

32דֶּֽרֶךְ־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אָרוּץ כִּי תַרְחִיב לִבִּֽיI eagerly pursue Your commandments, for You broaden my understanding.

33הוֹרֵנִי יְהֹוָה דֶּרֶךְ חֻקֶּיךָ וְאֶצְּרֶנָּה עֵֽקֶבה Teach me, O ETERNAL One, the way of Your laws; I will observe them to the utmost.

34הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶצְּרָה תוֹרָתֶךָ וְאֶשְׁמְרֶנָּה בְכׇל־לֵֽבGive me understanding, that I may observe Your teaching and keep it wholeheartedly.

35הַדְרִיכֵנִי בִּנְתִיב מִצְוֺתֶיךָ כִּי־בוֹ חָפָֽצְתִּיLead me in the path of Your commandments, for that is my concern.

36הַט־לִבִּי אֶל־עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ וְאַל אֶל־בָּֽצַעTurn my heart to Your decrees and not to love of gain.

37הַעֲבֵר עֵינַי מֵרְאוֹת שָׁוְא בִּדְרָכֶךָ חַיֵּֽנִיAvert my eyes from seeing falsehood; by Your ways preserve me.

38הָקֵם לְעַבְדְּךָ אִמְרָתֶךָ אֲשֶׁר לְיִרְאָתֶֽךָFulfill Your promise to Your servant, which is for those who worship You.

39הַעֲבֵר חֶרְפָּתִי אֲשֶׁר יָגֹרְתִּי כִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ טוֹבִֽיםRemove the taunt that I dread, for Your rules are good.

40הִנֵּה תָּאַבְתִּי לְפִקֻּדֶיךָ בְּצִדְקָתְךָ חַיֵּֽנִיSee, I have longed for Your precepts; by Your righteousness preserve me.

41וִיבֹאֻנִי חֲסָדֶךָ יְהֹוָה תְּשׁוּעָתְךָ כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָו May Your steadfast love reach me, O ETERNAL One, Your deliverance, as You have promised.

42וְאֶעֱנֶה חֹרְפִי דָבָר כִּֽי־בָטַחְתִּי בִּדְבָרֶֽךָI shall have an answer for those who taunt me, for I have put my trust in Your word.

43וְֽאַל־תַּצֵּל מִפִּי דְבַר־אֱמֶת עַד־מְאֹד כִּי לְמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ יִחָֽלְתִּיDo not utterly take the truth away from my mouth, for I have put my hope in Your rules.

44וְאֶשְׁמְרָה תוֹרָתְךָ תָמִיד לְעוֹלָם וָעֶֽדI will always obey Your teaching, forever and ever.

45וְאֶתְהַלְּכָה בָרְחָבָה כִּי פִקֻּדֶיךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּיI will walk about at ease, for I have turned to Your precepts.

46וַאֲדַבְּרָה בְעֵדֹתֶיךָ נֶגֶד מְלָכִים וְלֹא אֵבֽוֹשׁI will speak of Your decrees, and not be ashamed in the presence of kings.

47וְאֶשְׁתַּעֲשַׁע בְּמִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָֽבְתִּיI will delight in Your commandments, which I love.

48וְאֶשָּֽׂא־כַפַּי אֶֽל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָבְתִּי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְחֻקֶּֽיךָI reach out for Your commandments, which I love; I study Your laws.

49זְכֹר־דָּבָר לְעַבְדֶּךָ עַל אֲשֶׁר יִחַלְתָּֽנִיז Remember Your word to Your servant through which You have given me hope.

50זֹאת נֶחָמָתִי בְעׇנְיִי כִּי אִמְרָתְךָ חִיָּֽתְנִיThis is my comfort in my affliction, that Your promise has preserved me.

51זֵדִים הֱלִיצֻנִי עַד־מְאֹד מִתּוֹרָתְךָ לֹא נָטִֽיתִיThough the arrogant have cruelly mocked me, I have not swerved from Your teaching.

52זָכַרְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ מֵעוֹלָם יְהֹוָה וָאֶתְנֶחָֽםI remember Your rules of old, O ETERNAL One, and find comfort in them.

53זַלְעָפָה אֲחָזַתְנִי מֵרְשָׁעִים עֹזְבֵי תּוֹרָתֶֽךָI am seized with rage because of the wicked who forsake Your teaching.

54זְמִרוֹת הָיוּ־לִי חֻקֶּיךָ בְּבֵית מְגוּרָֽיYour laws are a source of strength to me wherever I may dwell.

55זָכַרְתִּי בַלַּיְלָה שִׁמְךָ יְהֹוָה וָאֶשְׁמְרָה תּוֹרָתֶֽךָI remember Your name at night, O ETERNAL One, and obey Your teaching.

56זֹאת הָיְתָה־לִּי כִּי פִקֻּדֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּיThis has been my lot, for I have observed Your precepts.

57חֶלְקִי יְהֹוָה אָמַרְתִּי לִשְׁמֹר דְּבָרֶֽיךָח GOD is my portion; I have resolved to keep Your words.

58חִלִּיתִי פָנֶיךָ בְכׇל־לֵב חׇנֵּנִי כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָI have implored You with all my heart; have mercy on me, in accordance with Your promise.

59חִשַּׁבְתִּי דְרָכָי וָאָשִׁיבָה רַגְלַי אֶל־עֵדֹתֶֽיךָI have considered my ways, and have turned back to Your decrees.

60חַשְׁתִּי וְלֹא הִתְמַהְמָהְתִּי לִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָI have hurried and not delayed to keep Your commandments.

61חֶבְלֵי רְשָׁעִים עִוְּדֻנִי תּוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּיThough the bonds of the wicked are coiled round me, I have not neglected Your teaching.

62חֲצֽוֹת־לַיְלָה אָקוּם לְהוֹדוֹת לָךְ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָI arise at midnight to praise You for Your just rules.

63חָבֵר אָנִי לְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר יְרֵאוּךָ וּלְשֹׁמְרֵי פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָI am a companion to all who fear You, to those who keep Your precepts.

64חַסְדְּךָ יְהֹוָה מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִיYour steadfast love, O ETERNAL One, fills the earth; teach me Your laws.

65טוֹב עָשִׂיתָ עִֽם־עַבְדְּךָ יְהֹוָה כִּדְבָרֶֽךָט You have treated Your servant well, according to Your word, O ETERNAL One.

66טוּב טַעַם וָדַעַת לַמְּדֵנִי כִּי בְמִצְוֺתֶיךָ הֶאֱמָֽנְתִּיTeach me good sense and knowledge, for I have put my trust in Your commandments.

67טֶרֶם אֶעֱנֶה אֲנִי שֹׁגֵג וְעַתָּה אִמְרָתְךָ שָׁמָֽרְתִּיBefore I was humbled I went astray, but now I keep Your word.

68טוֹב־אַתָּה וּמֵטִיב לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָYou are good and beneficent; teach me Your laws.

69טָפְלוּ עָלַי שֶׁקֶר זֵדִים אֲנִי בְּכׇל־לֵב אֶצֹּר פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָThough the arrogant have accused me falsely, I observe Your precepts wholeheartedly.

70טָפַשׁ כַּחֵלֶב לִבָּם אֲנִי תּוֹרָתְךָ שִׁעֲשָֽׁעְתִּיTheir minds are thick like fat; as for me, Your teaching is my delight.

71טֽוֹב־לִי כִי־עֻנֵּיתִי לְמַעַן אֶלְמַד חֻקֶּֽיךָIt was good for me that I was humbled, so that I might learn Your laws.

72טֽוֹב־לִי תוֹרַת־פִּיךָ מֵאַלְפֵי זָהָב וָכָֽסֶףI prefer the teaching You proclaimed to thousands of gold and silver pieces.

73יָדֶיךָ עָשׂוּנִי וַֽיְכוֹנְנוּנִי הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶלְמְדָה מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָי Your hands made me and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn Your commandments.

74יְרֵאֶיךָ יִרְאוּנִי וְיִשְׂמָחוּ כִּי לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּיThose who fear You will see me and rejoice, for I have put my hope in Your word.

75יָדַעְתִּי יְהֹוָה כִּי־צֶדֶק מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ וֶאֱמוּנָה עִנִּיתָֽנִיI know, O ETERNAL One, that Your rulings are just; rightly have You humbled me.

76יְהִי־נָא חַסְדְּךָ לְנַחֲמֵנִי כְּאִמְרָתְךָ לְעַבְדֶּֽךָMay Your steadfast love comfort me in accordance with Your promise to Your servant.

77יְבֹאוּנִי רַחֲמֶיךָ וְאֶחְיֶה כִּי־תוֹרָתְךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽיMay Your mercy reach me, that I might live, for Your teaching is my delight.

78יֵבֹשׁוּ זֵדִים כִּי־שֶׁקֶר עִוְּתוּנִי אֲנִי אָשִׂיחַ בְּפִקּוּדֶֽיךָLet the insolent be dismayed, for they have wronged me without cause; I will study Your precepts.

79יָשׁוּבוּ לִי יְרֵאֶיךָ (וידעו) [וְיֹדְעֵי] עֵדֹתֶֽיךָMay those who fear You, those who know Your decrees, turn again to me.

80יְהִי־לִבִּי תָמִים בְּחֻקֶּיךָ לְמַעַן לֹא אֵבֽוֹשׁMay I wholeheartedly follow Your laws so that I do not come to grief.

81כָּלְתָה לִתְשׁוּעָתְךָ נַפְשִׁי לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּיכ I long for Your deliverance; I hope for Your word.

82כָּלוּ עֵינַי לְאִמְרָתֶךָ לֵאמֹר מָתַי תְּֽנַחֲמֵֽנִיMy eyes pine away for Your promise; I say, “When will You comfort me?”

83כִּֽי־הָיִיתִי כְּנֹאד בְּקִיטוֹר חֻקֶּיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּיThough I have become like a water-skin dried in smoke, I have not neglected Your laws.

84כַּמָּה יְמֵֽי־עַבְדֶּךָ מָתַי תַּעֲשֶׂה בְרֹדְפַי מִשְׁפָּֽטHow long has Your servant to live? when will You bring my persecutors to judgment?

85כָּרוּ־לִי זֵדִים שִׁיחוֹת אֲשֶׁר לֹא כְתוֹרָתֶֽךָThe insolent have dug pits for me, flouting Your teaching.

86כׇּל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֱמוּנָה שֶׁקֶר רְדָפוּנִי עׇזְרֵֽנִיAll Your commandments are enduring; I am persecuted without cause; help me!

87כִּמְעַט כִּלּוּנִי בָאָרֶץ וַאֲנִי לֹא־עָזַבְתִּי פִקֻּדֶֽיךָThough they almost wiped me off the earth, I did not abandon Your precepts.

88כְּחַסְדְּךָ חַיֵּנִי וְאֶשְׁמְרָה עֵדוּת פִּֽיךָAs befits Your steadfast love, preserve me, so that I may keep the decree You proclaimed.

89לְעוֹלָם יְהֹוָה דְּבָרְךָ נִצָּב בַּשָּׁמָֽיִםל GOD exists forever; Your word stands firm in heaven.

90לְדֹר וָדֹר אֱמוּנָתֶךָ כּוֹנַנְתָּֽ אֶרֶץ וַֽתַּעֲמֹֽדYour faithfulness is for all generations; You have established the earth, and it stands.

91לְֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ עָמְדוּ הַיּוֹם כִּי הַכֹּל עֲבָדֶֽיךָThey stand this day to [carry out] Your rulings, for all are Your servants.

92לוּלֵי תוֹרָתְךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָי אָז אָבַדְתִּי בְעׇנְיִֽיWere not Your teaching my delight I would have perished in my affliction.

93לְעוֹלָם לֹא־אֶשְׁכַּח פִּקּוּדֶיךָ כִּי בָם חִיִּיתָֽנִיI will never neglect Your precepts, for You have preserved my life through them.

94לְֽךָ־אֲנִי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּיI am Yours; save me! For I have turned to Your precepts.

95לִי קִוּוּ רְשָׁעִים לְאַבְּדֵנִי עֵדֹתֶיךָ אֶתְבּוֹנָֽןThe wicked hope to destroy me, but I ponder Your decrees.

96לְֽכׇל־תִּכְלָה רָאִיתִי קֵץ רְחָבָה מִצְוָתְךָ מְאֹֽדI have seen that all things have their limit, but Your commandment is broad beyond measure.

97מָה־אָהַבְתִּי תוֹרָתֶךָ כׇּל־הַיּוֹם הִיא שִׂיחָתִֽימ O how I love Your teaching! It is my study all day long.

98מֵֽאֹיְבַי תְּחַכְּמֵנִי מִצְוֺתֶךָ כִּי לְעוֹלָם הִיא־לִֽיYour commandments make me wiser than my enemies; they always stand by me.

99מִכׇּל־מְלַמְּדַי הִשְׂכַּלְתִּי כִּי עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ שִׂיחָה לִֽיI have gained more insight than all my teachers, for Your decrees are my study.

100מִזְּקֵנִים אֶתְבּוֹנָן כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּיI have gained more understanding than my elders, for I observe Your precepts.

101מִכׇּל־אֹרַח רָע כָּלִאתִי רַגְלָי לְמַעַן אֶשְׁמֹר דְּבָרֶֽךָI have avoided every evil way so that I may keep Your word.

102מִמִּשְׁפָּטֶיךָ לֹא־סָרְתִּי כִּי־אַתָּה הוֹרֵתָֽנִיI have not departed from Your rules, for You have instructed me.

103מַה־נִּמְלְצוּ לְחִכִּי אִמְרָתֶךָ מִדְּבַשׁ לְפִֽיHow pleasing is Your word to my palate, sweeter than honey.

104מִפִּקּוּדֶיךָ אֶתְבּוֹנָן עַל־כֵּן שָׂנֵאתִי כׇּל־אֹרַח שָֽׁקֶרI ponder Your precepts; therefore I hate every false way.

105נֵר־לְרַגְלִי דְבָרֶךָ וְאוֹר לִנְתִיבָתִֽינ Your word is a lamp to my feet, a light for my path.

106נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי וָאֲקַיֵּמָה לִשְׁמֹר מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָI have firmly sworn to keep Your just rules.

107נַעֲנֵיתִי עַד־מְאֹד יְהֹוָה חַיֵּנִי כִדְבָרֶֽךָI am very much afflicted; O ETERNAL One, preserve me in accordance with Your word.

108נִדְבוֹת פִּי רְצֵה־נָא יְהֹוָה וּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִיAccept, O ETERNAL One, my freewill offerings; teach me Your rules.

109נַפְשִׁי בְכַפִּי תָמִיד וְתוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּיThough my life is always in danger, I do not neglect Your teaching.

110נָתְנוּ רְשָׁעִים פַּח לִי וּמִפִּקּוּדֶיךָ לֹא תָעִֽיתִיThough the wicked have set a trap for me, I have not strayed from Your precepts.

111נָחַלְתִּי עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לְעוֹלָם כִּֽי־שְׂשׂוֹן לִבִּי הֵֽמָּהYour decrees are my eternal heritage; they are my heart’s delight.

112נָטִיתִי לִבִּי לַעֲשׂוֹת חֻקֶּיךָ לְעוֹלָם עֵֽקֶבI am resolved to follow Your laws to the utmost forever.

113סֵעֲפִים שָׂנֵאתִי וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ אָהָֽבְתִּיס I hate the double-minded, but I love Your teaching.

114סִתְרִי וּמָגִנִּי אָתָּה לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּיYou are my protection and my shield; I hope for Your word.

115סוּרוּ־מִמֶּנִּי מְרֵעִים וְאֶצְּרָה מִצְוֺת אֱלֹהָֽיKeep away from me, you evildoers, that I may observe the commandments of my God.

116סׇמְכֵנִי כְאִמְרָתְךָ וְאֶחְיֶה וְאַל־תְּבִישֵׁנִי מִשִּׂבְרִֽיSupport me as You promised, so that I may live; do not thwart my expectation.

117סְעָדֵנִי וְאִוָּשֵׁעָה וְאֶשְׁעָה בְחֻקֶּיךָ תָמִֽידSustain me that I may be saved, and I will always muse upon Your laws.

118סָלִיתָ כׇּל־שׁוֹגִים מֵחֻקֶּיךָ כִּי־שֶׁקֶר תַּרְמִיתָֽםYou reject all who stray from Your laws, for they are false and deceitful.

119סִגִים הִשְׁבַּתָּ כׇל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָרֶץ לָכֵן אָהַבְתִּי עֵדֹתֶֽיךָYou do away with the wicked as if they were dross; rightly do I love Your decrees.

120סָמַר מִפַּחְדְּךָ בְשָׂרִי וּֽמִמִּשְׁפָּטֶיךָ יָרֵֽאתִיMy flesh creeps from fear of You; I am in awe of Your rulings.

121עָשִׂיתִי מִשְׁפָּט וָצֶדֶק בַּל־תַּנִּיחֵנִי לְעֹשְׁקָֽיע I have done what is just and right; do not abandon me to those who would wrong me.

122עֲרֹב עַבְדְּךָ לְטוֹב אַֽל־יַעַשְׁקֻנִי זֵדִֽיםGuarantee Your servant’s well-being; do not let the arrogant wrong me.

123עֵינַי כָּלוּ לִישׁוּעָתֶךָ וּלְאִמְרַת צִדְקֶֽךָMy eyes pine away for Your deliverance, for Your promise of victory.

124עֲשֵׂה עִם־עַבְדְּךָ כְחַסְדֶּךָ וְחֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִיDeal with Your servant as befits Your steadfast love; teach me Your laws.

125עַבְדְּךָ־אָנִי הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֵדְעָה עֵדֹתֶֽיךָI am Your servant; give me understanding, that I might know Your decrees.

126עֵת לַעֲשׂוֹת לַיהֹוָה הֵפֵרוּ תּוֹרָתֶֽךָIt is a time to act for GOD, for they have violated Your teaching.

127עַל־כֵּן אָהַבְתִּי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ מִזָּהָב וּמִפָּֽזRightly do I love Your commandments more than gold, even fine gold.

128עַל־כֵּן כׇּל־פִּקּוּדֵי כֹל יִשָּׁרְתִּי כׇּל־אֹרַח שֶׁקֶר שָׂנֵֽאתִיTruly by all [Your] precepts I walk straight; I hate every false way.

129פְּלָאוֹת עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ עַל־כֵּן נְצָרָתַם נַפְשִֽׁיפ Your decrees are wondrous; rightly do I observe them.

130פֵּתַח דְּבָרֶיךָ יָאִיר מֵבִין פְּתָיִֽיםThe words You inscribed give light, and grant understanding to the simple.

131פִּֽי־פָעַרְתִּי וָאֶשְׁאָפָה כִּי לְמִצְוֺתֶיךָ יָאָֽבְתִּיI open my mouth wide, I pant, longing for Your commandments.

132פְּנֵה־אֵלַי וְחׇנֵּנִי כְּמִשְׁפָּט לְאֹהֲבֵי שְׁמֶֽךָTurn to me and be gracious to me, as is Your rule with those who love Your name.

133פְּעָמַי הָכֵן בְּאִמְרָתֶךָ וְֽאַל־תַּשְׁלֶט־בִּי כׇל־אָֽוֶןMake my feet firm through Your promise; do not let iniquity dominate me.

134פְּדֵנִי מֵעֹשֶׁק אָדָם וְאֶשְׁמְרָה פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָRedeem me from being wronged by others, that I may keep Your precepts.

135פָּנֶיךָ הָאֵר בְּעַבְדֶּךָ וְלַמְּדֵנִי אֶת־חֻקֶּֽיךָShow favor to Your servant, and teach me Your laws.

136פַּלְגֵי־מַיִם יָרְדוּ עֵינָי עַל לֹא־שָׁמְרוּ תוֹרָתֶֽךָMy eyes shed streams of water because others do not obey Your teaching.

137צַדִּיק אַתָּה יְהֹוָה וְיָשָׁר מִשְׁפָּטֶֽיךָצ You are righteous, O ETERNAL One; Your rulings are just.

138צִוִּיתָ צֶדֶק עֵדֹתֶיךָ וֶאֱמוּנָה מְאֹֽדYou have ordained righteous decrees; they are firmly enduring.

139צִמְּתַתְנִי קִנְאָתִי כִּֽי־שָׁכְחוּ דְבָרֶיךָ צָרָֽיI am consumed with rage over my foes’ neglect of Your words.

140צְרוּפָה אִמְרָתְךָ מְאֹד וְֽעַבְדְּךָ אֲהֵבָֽהּYour word is exceedingly pure, and Your servant loves it.

141צָעִיר אָנֹכִי וְנִבְזֶה פִּקֻּדֶיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּיThough I am belittled and despised, I have not neglected Your precepts.

142צִדְקָתְךָ צֶדֶק לְעוֹלָם וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ אֱמֶֽתYour righteousness is eternal; Your teaching is true.

143צַר־וּמָצוֹק מְצָאוּנִי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽיThough anguish and distress come upon me, Your commandments are my delight.

144צֶדֶק עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לְעוֹלָם הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶחְיֶֽהYour righteous decrees are eternal; give me understanding, that I might live.

145קָרָאתִי בְכׇל־לֵב עֲנֵנִי יְהֹוָה חֻקֶּיךָ אֶצֹּֽרָהק I call with all my heart; answer me, O ETERNAL One, that I may observe Your laws.

146קְרָאתִיךָ הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי וְאֶשְׁמְרָה עֵדֹתֶֽיךָI call upon You; save me, that I may keep Your decrees.

147קִדַּמְתִּי בַנֶּשֶׁף וָאֲשַׁוֵּעָה (לדבריך) [לִדְבָרְךָ] יִחָֽלְתִּיI rise before dawn and cry for help; I hope for Your word.

148קִדְּמוּ עֵינַי אַשְׁמֻרוֹת לָשִׂיחַ בְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָMy eyes greet each watch of the night, as I meditate on Your promise.

149קוֹלִי שִׁמְעָה כְחַסְדֶּךָ יְהֹוָה כְּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ חַיֵּֽנִיHear my voice as befits Your steadfast love; O ETERNAL One, preserve me, as is Your rule.

150קָרְבוּ רֹדְפֵי זִמָּה מִתּוֹרָתְךָ רָחָֽקוּThose who pursue intrigue draw near; they are far from Your teaching.

151קָרוֹב אַתָּה יְהֹוָה וְֽכׇל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֱמֶֽתYou, O ETERNAL One, are near, and all Your commandments are true.

152קֶדֶם יָדַעְתִּי מֵעֵדֹתֶיךָ כִּי לְעוֹלָם יְסַדְתָּֽםI know from Your decrees of old that You have established them forever.

153רְאֵה־עׇנְיִי וְחַלְּצֵנִי כִּי־תוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּיר See my affliction and rescue me, for I have not neglected Your teaching.

154רִיבָה רִיבִי וּגְאָלֵנִי לְאִמְרָתְךָ חַיֵּֽנִיChampion my cause and redeem me; preserve me according to Your promise.

155רָחוֹק מֵרְשָׁעִים יְשׁוּעָה כִּי־חֻקֶּיךָ לֹא דָרָֽשׁוּDeliverance is far from the wicked, for they have not turned to Your laws.

156רַחֲמֶיךָ רַבִּים יְהֹוָה כְּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ חַיֵּֽנִיYour mercies are great, O ETERNAL One; as is Your rule, preserve me.

157רַבִּים רֹדְפַי וְצָרָי מֵעֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לֹא נָטִֽיתִיMany are my persecutors and foes; I have not swerved from Your decrees.

158רָאִיתִי בֹגְדִים וָאֶתְקוֹטָטָה אֲשֶׁר אִמְרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁמָֽרוּI have seen traitors and loathed them, because they did not keep Your word in mind.

159רְאֵה כִּי־פִקּוּדֶיךָ אָהָבְתִּי יְהֹוָה כְּֽחַסְדְּךָ חַיֵּֽנִיSee that I have loved Your precepts; O ETERNAL One, preserve me, as befits Your steadfast love.

160רֹאשׁ־דְּבָרְךָ אֱמֶת וּלְעוֹלָם כׇּל־מִשְׁפַּט צִדְקֶֽךָTruth is the essence of Your word; Your just rules are eternal.

161שָׂרִים רְדָפוּנִי חִנָּם (ומדבריך) [וּמִדְּבָרְךָ] פָּחַד לִבִּֽיש Princes have persecuted me without reason; my heart thrills at Your word.

162שָׂשׂ אָנֹכִי עַל־אִמְרָתֶךָ כְּמוֹצֵא שָׁלָל רָֽבI rejoice over Your promise as one who obtains great spoil.

163שֶׁקֶר שָׂנֵאתִי וַאֲתַעֵבָה תּוֹרָתְךָ אָהָֽבְתִּיI hate and abhor falsehood; I love Your teaching.

164שֶׁבַע בַּיּוֹם הִלַּלְתִּיךָ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָI praise You seven times each day for Your just rules.

165שָׁלוֹם רָב לְאֹהֲבֵי תוֹרָתֶךָ וְאֵֽין־לָמוֹ מִכְשֽׁוֹלThose who love Your teaching enjoy well-being; they encounter no adversity.

166שִׂבַּרְתִּי לִישׁוּעָתְךָ יְהֹוָה וּֽמִצְוֺתֶיךָ עָשִֽׂיתִיI hope for Your deliverance, O ETERNAL One; I observe Your commandments.

167שָֽׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי עֵדֹתֶיךָ וָאֹהֲבֵם מְאֹֽדI obey Your decrees and love them greatly.

168שָׁמַרְתִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ וְעֵדֹתֶיךָ כִּי כׇל־דְּרָכַי נֶגְדֶּֽךָI obey Your precepts and decrees; all my ways are before You.

169תִּקְרַב רִנָּתִי לְפָנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה כִּדְבָרְךָ הֲבִינֵֽנִית May my plea reach You, O ETERNAL One; grant me understanding according to Your word.

170תָּבוֹא תְחִנָּתִי לְפָנֶיךָ כְּאִמְרָתְךָ הַצִּילֵֽנִיMay my petition come before You; save me in accordance with Your promise.

171תַּבַּעְנָה שְׂפָתַי תְּהִלָּה כִּי תְלַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָMy lips shall pour forth praise, for You teach me Your laws.

172תַּעַן לְשׁוֹנִי אִמְרָתֶךָ כִּי כׇל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ צֶּֽדֶקMy tongue shall declare Your promise, for all Your commandments are just.

173תְּהִי־יָדְךָ לְעׇזְרֵנִי כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ בָחָֽרְתִּיLend Your hand to help me, for I have chosen Your precepts.

174תָּאַבְתִּי לִישׁוּעָתְךָ יְהֹוָה וְתוֹרָתְךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽיI have longed for Your deliverance, O ETERNAL One; Your teaching is my delight.

175תְּֽחִי־נַפְשִׁי וּֽתְהַלְלֶךָּ וּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ יַעְזְרֻֽנִיLet me live, that I may praise You; may Your rules be my help;

176תָּעִיתִי כְּשֶׂה אֹבֵד בַּקֵּשׁ עַבְדֶּךָ כִּי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּיI have strayed like a lost sheep; search for Your servant, for I have not neglected Your commandments.
