ברכות השחר
יעשה צרכיו תחלה, ואחר כך יברך על נטילת ידים ואשר יצר (בא"ח ויצא ה"ב). אחר שנטל ידיו תכף ומיד תזקיף ידיו ואצבעותיו למעלה ותגביהם עד הראש, ולפחות תגביהם עד כנגד הפנים, ותברך על נטילת ידים, (בא"ח תולדות ה"ד) ואם היה ער כל הלילה לא יברך אלא יטול בלא ברכה (שם הי"ג)
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו וְצִוָּנוּ עַל נְטִילַת יָדָיִם:Blessed are You, Hashem, our God, King of the universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us regarding the raising of hands [i.e., washing]:
אם הטיל מים או עשה צרכיו יברך תוך חצי שעה (בא"ח ויצא הי"ב)
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר יָצַר אֶת הָאָדָם בְּחָכְמָה, וּבָרָא בוֹ נְקָבִים נְקָבִים, חֲלוּלִים חֲלוּלִים, גָּלוּי וְיָדוּעַ לִפְנֵי כִסֵּא כְבוֹדֶךָ, שֶׁאִם יִסָּתֵם אֶחָד מֵהֶם, אוֹ אִם יִפָּתֵח אֶחָד מֵהֶם, אֵי אֶפְשָׁר לְהִתְקַיֵּם אַפִלּוּ שָׁעָה אֶחָת. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה, רוֹפֵא כָל־בָּשָׂר וּמַפְלִיא לַעֲשׂוֹת:Blessed are You, Hashem, our God, King of the Universe, Who formed man with wisdom and created many openings and cavities within him. It is obvious and known before Your throne of glory that if any one of them were closed or if one of any one them were opened, it would be impossible to exist for even an hour [i.e., a short while]. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who heals all flesh and does wondrous things.
יסמוך ברכה זו של אלהי וכו' לברכת אשר יצר (בא"ח וישב ה"ב)
אֱלֹהַי, נְשָׁמָה שֶׁנָּתַתָּ בִּי טְהוֹרָה, אַתָּה בְרָאתָהּ, אַתָּה יְצַרְתָּהּ, אַתָּה נְפַחְתָּהּ בִּי, וְאַתָּה מְשַׁמְּרָהּ בְּקִרְבִּי, וְאַתָּה עָתִיד לִטְּלָהּ מִמֶּנִּי, וּלְהַחֲזִירָהּ בִּי לֶעָתִיד לָבוֹא, כָּל־זְמַן שֶׁהַנְּשָׁמָה בְקִרְבִּי, מוֹדֶה (האשה אומרת מוֹדָה) אֲנִי לְפָנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתַי, רִבּוֹן כָּל־הַמַּעֲשִׂים אֲדוֹן כָּל־הַנְּשָׁמוֹת. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה, הַמַּחֲזִיר נְשָׁמוֹת לִפְגָרִים מֵתִים:My God, the soul that you placed within me is pure. You created it, You formed it, You breathed it into me, and You preserve it within me. And in the future, You will take it from me and restore it in the Time to Come. All the time that this soul is within me, I am thankful before You, Hashem, my God and the God of my fathers, Ruler of all creation, Lord of all the souls. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who restores souls to dead bodies.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַנוֹתֵן לַשֶּׂכְוִי בִינָה, לְהַבְחִין בֵּין יוֹם וּבֵין לָיְלָה:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who gives the rooster [alt. heart] the understanding to distinguish between day and between night.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, פּוֹקֵחַ עִוְרִים:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who gives sight to the blind.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, מַתִּיר אֲסוּרִים:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who releases the bound.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, זוֹקֵף כְּפוּפִים:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who straitens the bent.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, מַלְבִּישׁ עֲרֻמִּים:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who clothes the naked.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַנּוֹתֵן לַיָּעֵף כֹּחַ:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, who gives strength to the weary.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, רוֹקַע הָאָרֶץ עַל הַמָּיִם:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who spreads the earth over the waters.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַמֵּכִין מִצְעֲדֵי גָבֶר:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who prepares the steps of man.
בתשעה באב ויום הכיפורים אין אומרים ברכה זו (בא"ח וישב ה"ט)
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, שֶׁעָשָׂה לִי כָּל־צָרְכִּי:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who has provided for me all of my needs.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אוֹזֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּגְבוּרָה:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who girds Israel with might.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, עוֹטֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּתִפְאָרָה:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, who crowns Israel with glory.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי גוֹי: האשה אומרת: גּוֹיָהBlessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who did not make me a gentile. (A woman says: gentile woman)
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי עָבֶד: האשה אומרת: שִׁפְחָהBlessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who did not make me a slave. (A woman says: maid-servant)...
האיש מברך
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, שֶׁלֹּא עָשַׂנִי אִשָּׁה:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who did not make me a woman.
האשה מברכת בלי שם ומלכות
בָּרוּךְ שֶׁעָשַׂנִי כִּרְצוֹנוֹ:Blessed is He Who made me according to His Will.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַמַּעֲבִיר חֶבְלֵי שֵׁנָה מֵעֵינָי וּתְנוּמָה מֵעַפְעַפָּי. וִיהִי רָצוֹן מִלְפָנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה, אֱלֹהַי וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתַי, שֶׁתַרְגִּילֵנִי בְּתוֹרָתֶךָ, וְתַדְבִּיקֵנִי בְּמִצְוֹתֶיךָ, וְאַל תְּבִיאֵנִי לִידֵי חֵטְא, וְלֹא לִידֵי עָוֹן, וְלֹא לִידֵי נִסָיוֹן, וְלֹא לִידֵי בִזָּיוֹן, וְתַרְחִיקֵנִי מִיֵּצֶר הָרָע, וְתַדְבִּיקֵנִי בְּיֵצֶר הַטּוֹב, וְכוֹף אֶת־יִצְרִי לְהִשְׁתַּעְבֶּד לָּךְ, וּתְנֵנִי הַיּוֹם וּבְכָל־יוֹם לְחֵן וּלְחֶסֶד וּלְרַחֲמִים בְּעֵינֶיךָ וּבְעֵינֵי כָל־רוֹאַי, וְגָמְלֵנִי חֲסָדִים טוֹבִים. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה, גּוֹמֵל חֲסָדִים טוֹבִים לְעַמּוֹ יִשְׂרָאֵל:Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, Who removes the bonds of sleep from my eyes and the slumber from my eyelids. And may it be Your will, Hashem, my God and God of my fathers, that You accustom me in Your Torah and attach me to Your commandments. And do not bring me to sin, nor to iniquity, nor to be tested, nor to be disgraced. And distance me from the evil inclination and attach me to the good inclination. And compel my inclination to serve You. And grant me today, and everyday, grace, loving-kindness, and compassion in Your eyes and in the eyes of all who see me, and bestow upon me good kindnesses. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who bestows good kindnesses to His nation, Israel.
יְהִי רָצוֹן מִלְּפָנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה, אֱלֹהַי וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתַי, שֶׁתַּצִּילֵנִי הַיּוֹם וּבְכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם, מֵעַזֵּי פָנִים, וּמֵעַזּוּת פָּנִים, מֵאָדָם רָע, מִיֵּצֶר רָע, מֵחָבֵר רָע, מִשָּׁכֵן רָע, מִפֶּגַע רָע, מֵעַיִן הָרָע, וּמִלָּשׁוֹן הָרָע, מִדִּין קָשֶׁה, וּמִבַּעַל דִּין קָשֶׁה, בֵּין שֶׁהוּא בֶן־בְּרִית, וּבֵין שֶׁאֵינוֹ בֶן־בְּרִית:May it be the will, before You, Hashem, my God and the God of my fathers, that You spare me today and every single day, from the arrogant, and from arrogance, from an evil man, from the evil inclination, from an evil friend, from an evil companion, from a bad mishap, from the evil eye, from slander, from a a difficult judgment, and from a difficult accuser, whether he is a Jew or whether he is not a Jew.
