1לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְעֶבֶד יְהֹוָה לְדָוִד אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לַיהֹוָה אֶת־דִּבְרֵי הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת בְּיוֹם הִֽצִּיל־יְהֹוָה־אוֹתוֹ מִכַּף כׇּל־אֹיְבָיו וּמִיַּד שָׁאֽוּלFor the leader. 3יְהֹוָה סַלְעִי וּמְצוּדָתִי וּמְפַלְטִי אֵלִי צוּרִי אֶֽחֱסֶה־בּוֹ מָֽגִנִּי וְקֶֽרֶן־יִשְׁעִי מִשְׂגַּבִּֽיO ETERNAL One, my crag, my fortress, my deliverer, my God, my rock in which I take shelter, my shield, my mighty champion, my haven.Adonai sali umtzudati umfalti eli tzuri echeseh-bo magini vekeren-yishi misgabi

6חֶבְלֵי שְׁאוֹל סְבָבוּנִי קִדְּמוּנִי מוֹקְשֵׁי מָֽוֶתropes of Sheol encircled me; snares of Death confronted me.Chevley sheol sevavuni kidmuni mokshey mavet

7בַּצַּר־לִי אֶקְרָא יְהֹוָה וְאֶל־אֱלֹהַי אֲשַׁוֵּעַ יִשְׁמַע מֵהֵיכָלוֹ קוֹלִי וְשַׁוְעָתִי לְפָנָיו תָּבוֹא בְאׇזְנָֽיוIn my anguish I called on the ETERNAL, cried out to my God, who from a heavenly abode heard my voice, whose ears received my cry.Batzar-li ekra Adonai veel-elohay ashavea yishma meheychalo koli veshavati lefanayv tavo veoznayv

8וַתִּגְעַשׁ וַתִּרְעַשׁ הָאָרֶץ וּמוֹסְדֵי הָרִים יִרְגָּזוּ וַיִּתְגָּֽעֲשׁוּ כִּי־חָרָה לֽוֹThen the earth rocked and quaked; the foundations of the mountains shook— rocked by divine indignation;Vatigash vatirash haaretz umosdey harim yirgazu vayitgaashu ki-charah lo

9עָלָה עָשָׁן בְּאַפּוֹ וְאֵשׁ־מִפִּיו תֹּאכֵל גֶּחָלִים בָּעֲרוּ מִמֶּֽנּוּsmoke went up from God’s nostrils, devouring fire from God’s mouth— live coals blazing forth.Alah ashan beapo veesh-mipiv tochel gechalim baaru mimenu

10וַיֵּט שָׁמַיִם וַיֵּרַד וַעֲרָפֶל תַּחַת רַגְלָֽיו[God] bent the sky and came down, thick cloud beneath divine feet.Vayet shamayim vayerad vaarafel tachat raglayv

11וַיִּרְכַּב עַל־כְּרוּב וַיָּעֹף וַיֵּדֶא עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רֽוּחַ[God] mounted a cherub and flew, gliding on the wings of the wind.Vayirkav al-keruv vayaof vayede al-kanfey-rucha

12יָשֶׁת־חֹשֶׁךְ סִתְרוֹ סְבִֽיבוֹתָיו סֻכָּתוֹ חֶשְׁכַת־מַיִם עָבֵי שְׁחָקִֽים[God] made darkness a screen— pavilions of dark thunderheads, dense clouds of the sky all around.Yashet-choshech sitro sevivotayv sukato cheshchat-mayim avey shechakim

13מִנֹּגַהּ נֶגְדּוֹ עָבָיו עָבְרוּ בָּרָד וְגַֽחֲלֵי־אֵֽשׁIn the divine brilliance, hail and fiery coals pierced those clouds.Minogah negdo avayv avru barad vegachaley-esh

14וַיַּרְעֵם בַּשָּׁמַיִם יְֽהֹוָה וְעֶלְיוֹן יִתֵּן קֹלוֹ בָּרָד וְגַֽחֲלֵי־אֵֽשׁThen GOD thundered from heaven, the Most High gave forth voice— hail and fiery coals—Vayarem bashamayim yehovah veelyon yiten kolo barad vegachaley-esh

15וַיִּשְׁלַח חִצָּיו וַיְפִיצֵם וּבְרָקִים רָב וַיְהֻמֵּֽםletting shafts fly, and scattering them; discharging lightning, and routing them.Vayishlach chitzayv vayfitzem uvrakim rav vayhumem

16וַיֵּרָאוּ אֲפִיקֵי מַיִם וַֽיִּגָּלוּ מוֹסְדוֹת תֵּבֵל מִגַּעֲרָתְךָ יְהֹוָה מִנִּשְׁמַת רוּחַ אַפֶּֽךָThe ocean bed was exposed; the foundations of the world were laid bare by Your mighty roaring, O ETERNAL One, at the blast of Your breath.Vayerau afikey mayim vayigalu mosdot tevel migaaratcha Adonai minishmat rucha apecha

17יִשְׁלַח מִמָּרוֹם יִקָּחֵנִי יַֽמְשֵׁנִי מִמַּיִם רַבִּֽיםReaching down from on high, [God] took me, drawing me out of the mighty waters—Yishlach mimarom yikacheni yamsheni mimayim rabim

18יַצִּילֵנִי מֵאֹיְבִי עָז וּמִשֹּׂנְאַי כִּֽי־אָמְצוּ מִמֶּֽנִּיrescuing me from my fierce enemy, from foes too strong for me.Yatzileni meoyvi az umisonay ki-amtzu mimeni

19יְקַדְּמוּנִי בְיוֹם־אֵידִי וַֽיְהִי־יְהֹוָה לְמִשְׁעָן לִֽיThey confronted me on the day of my calamity, but GOD was my support—Yekadmuni veyom-eydi vayhi-Adonai lemishan li

20וַיּוֹצִיאֵנִי לַמֶּרְחָב יְחַלְּצֵנִי כִּי־חָפֵֽץ־בִּֽיbringing me out to freedom, pleased with me enough to rescue me.Vayotzieni lamerchav yechaltzeni ki-chafetz-bi

21יִגְמְלֵנִי יְהֹוָה כְּצִדְקִי כְּבֹר יָדַי יָשִׁיב לִֽיGOD rewarded me according to my merit— requiting the cleanness of my hands—Yigmleni Adonai ketzidki kevor yaday yashiv li

22כִּֽי־שָׁמַרְתִּי דַּרְכֵי יְהֹוָה וְלֹֽא־רָשַׁעְתִּי מֵאֱלֹהָֽיfor I have kept to the ways of GOD and have not been guilty before my God;Ki-shamarti darchey Adonai velo-rashati meelohay

23כִּי כׇל־מִשְׁפָּטָיו לְנֶגְדִּי וְחֻקֹּתָיו לֹא־אָסִיר מֶֽנִּיfor I am mindful of all God’s rules and have not disregarded God’s laws.Ki chol-mishpatayv lenegdi vechukotayv lo-asir meni

24וָאֱהִי תָמִים עִמּוֹ וָאֶשְׁתַּמֵּר מֵעֲוֺנִֽיI have been blameless toward [God], and have guarded myself against sinning;Vaehi tamim imo vaeshtamer meaoni

25וַיָּֽשֶׁב־יְהֹוָה לִי כְצִדְקִי כְּבֹר יָדַי לְנֶגֶד עֵינָֽיוand GOD has requited my merit, according to the evident cleanness of my hands.Vayashev-Adonai li chetzidki kevor yaday leneged eynayv

26עִם־חָסִיד תִּתְחַסָּד עִם־גְּבַר תָּמִים תִּתַּמָּֽםWith the loyal, You deal loyally; with the blameless, blamelessly.Im-chasid titchasad im-gevar tamim titamam

27עִם־נָבָר תִּתְבָּרָר וְעִם־עִקֵּשׁ תִּתְפַּתָּֽלWith the pure, You act purely, and with the perverse, You are wily.Im-navar titbarar veim-ikesh titpatal

28כִּֽי־אַתָּה עַם־עָנִי תוֹשִׁיעַ וְעֵינַיִם רָמוֹת תַּשְׁפִּֽילIt is You who deliver lowly folk, but haughty eyes You humble.Ki-atah am-ani toshia veeynayim ramot tashpil

29כִּֽי־אַתָּה תָּאִיר נֵרִי יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי יַגִּיהַּ חׇשְׁכִּֽיIt is You who light my lamp; my ETERNAL God lights up my darkness.Ki-atah tair neri Adonai elohay yagiha choshki

30כִּֽי־בְךָ אָרֻץ גְּדוּד וּבֵֽאלֹהַי אֲדַלֶּג־שֽׁוּרWith You, I can rush a barrier; with my God, I can scale a wall.Ki-vecha arutz gedud uvelohay adaleg-shur

31הָאֵל תָּמִים דַּרְכּוֹ אִמְרַֽת־יְהֹוָה צְרוּפָה מָגֵן הוּא לְכֹל הַחֹסִים בּֽוֹThe way of God is perfect; the word of the ETERNAL is pure. [God] shields all who seek refuge.Hael tamim darko imrat-Adonai tzerufah magen hu lechol hachosim bo

32כִּי מִי אֱלוֹהַּ מִבַּלְעֲדֵי יְהֹוָה וּמִי צוּר זוּלָתִי אֱלֹהֵֽינוּTruly, who is a god except the ETERNAL, who is a rock but our God?—Ki mi eloha mibaladey Adonai umi tzur zulati eloheynu

33הָאֵל הַמְאַזְּרֵנִי חָיִל וַיִּתֵּן תָּמִים דַּרְכִּֽיthe God who girded me with might, who made my way secure;Hael hamazreni chayil vayiten tamim darki

34מְשַׁוֶּה רַגְלַי כָּאַיָּלוֹת וְעַל בָּמֹתַי יַעֲמִידֵֽנִיwho made my legs like a deer’s, and set me firmly on the heights;Meshaveh raglay kaayalot veal bamotay yaamideni

35מְלַמֵּד יָדַי לַמִּלְחָמָה וְֽנִחֲתָה קֶֽשֶׁת־נְחוּשָׁה זְרוֹעֹתָֽיwho trained my hands for battle— my arms can bend a bow of bronze!Melamed yaday lamilchamah venichatah keshet-nechushah zerootay

36וַתִּתֶּן־לִי מָגֵן יִשְׁעֶךָ וִֽימִינְךָ תִסְעָדֵנִי וְֽעַנְוַתְךָ תַרְבֵּֽנִיYou have granted me the shield of Your protection; Your right hand has sustained me, Your care has made me great.Vatiten-li magen yishecha vimincha tisadeni veanvatcha tarbeni

37תַּרְחִיב צַעֲדִי תַחְתָּי וְלֹא מָעֲדוּ קַרְסֻלָּֽיYou have let me stride on freely; my feet have not slipped.Tarchiv tzaadi tachtay velo maadu karsulay

38אֶרְדּוֹף אוֹיְבַי וְאַשִּׂיגֵם וְלֹֽא־אָשׁוּב עַד־כַּלּוֹתָֽםI pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till I destroyed them.Erdof oyvay veasigem velo-ashuv ad-kalotam

39אֶמְחָצֵם וְלֹא־יֻכְלוּ קוּם יִפְּלוּ תַּחַת רַגְלָֽיI struck them down, and they could rise no more; they lay at my feet.Emchatzem velo-yuchlu kum yiplu tachat raglay

40וַתְּאַזְּרֵנִי חַיִל לַמִּלְחָמָה תַּכְרִיעַ קָמַי תַּחְתָּֽיYou have girded me with strength for battle, brought low my adversaries before me,Vatazreni chayil lamilchamah tachria kamay tachtay

41וְֽאֹיְבַי נָתַתָּה לִּי עֹרֶף וּמְשַׂנְאַי אַצְמִיתֵֽםmade my enemies turn tail before me; I wiped out my foes.Veoyvay natatah li oref umsanay atzmitem

42יְשַׁוְּעוּ וְאֵין־מוֹשִׁיעַ עַל־יְהֹוָה וְלֹא עָנָֽםThey cried out, but there was none to deliver; to GOD, who did not answer them.Yeshauu veeyn-moshia al-Adonai velo anam

43וְֽאֶשְׁחָקֵם כְּעָפָר עַל־פְּנֵי־רוּחַ כְּטִיט חוּצוֹת אֲרִיקֵֽםI ground them fine as windswept dust; I trod them flat like dirt of the streets.Veeshchakem keafar al-peney-rucha ketit chutzot arikem

44תְּפַלְּטֵנִי מֵרִיבֵי עָם תְּשִׂימֵנִי לְרֹאשׁ גּוֹיִם עַם לֹא־יָדַעְתִּי יַֽעַבְדֽוּנִיYou have rescued me from the strife of people; You have set me at the head of nations; peoples I knew not must serve me.Tefalteni merivey am tesimeni lerosh goyim am lo-yadati yaavduni

45לְשֵׁמַֽע אֹזֶן יִשָּׁמְעוּ לִי בְּנֵֽי־נֵכָר יְכַחֲשׁוּ־לִֽיAt the mere report of me they are submissive; foreign peoples cower before me.Leshema ozen yishamu li beney-nechar yechachashu-li

46בְּנֵי־נֵכָר יִבֹּלוּ וְיַחְרְגוּ מִֽמִּסְגְּרֽוֹתֵיהֶֽםForeign peoples lose courage, and come trembling out of their strongholds.Beney-nechar yibolu veyachrgu mimisgroteyhem

47חַי־יְהֹוָה וּבָרוּךְ צוּרִי וְיָרוּם אֱלוֹהֵי יִשְׁעִֽיGOD lives! Blessed is my rock! Exalted be God, my deliverer,Chay-Adonai uvaruch tzuri veyarum elohey yishi

48הָאֵל הַנּוֹתֵן נְקָמוֹת לִי וַיַּדְבֵּר עַמִּים תַּחְתָּֽיthe God who has vindicated me and made peoples subject to me,Hael hanoten nekamot li vayadber amim tachtay

49מְפַלְּטִי מֵאֹיְבָי אַף מִן־קָמַי תְּרוֹמְמֵנִי מֵאִישׁ חָמָס תַּצִּילֵֽנִיwho rescued me from my enemies, who raised me clear of my adversaries, saved me from the lawless opposition!Mefalti meoyvay af min-kamay terommeni meish chamas tatzileni

50עַל־כֵּן אוֹדְךָ בַגּוֹיִם יְהֹוָה וּלְשִׁמְךָ אֲזַמֵּֽרָהFor this I sing Your praise among the nations, ETERNAL One, and hymn Your name:Al-ken odcha vagoyim Adonai ulshimcha azamerah

3יוֹם לְיוֹם יַבִּיעַֽ אֹמֶר וְלַיְלָה לְּלַיְלָה יְחַוֶּה־דָּֽעַתDay to day makes utterance, night to night speaks out.Yom leyom yabia omer velaylah lelaylah yechaveh-daat

4אֵֽין־אֹמֶר וְאֵין דְּבָרִים בְּלִי נִשְׁמָע קוֹלָֽםThere is no utterance, there are no words, whose sound goes unheard.Eyn-omer veeyn devarim beli nishma kolam

5בְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץ יָצָא קַוָּם וּבִקְצֵה תֵבֵל מִלֵּיהֶם לַשֶּׁמֶשׁ שָֽׂם־אֹהֶל בָּהֶֽםTheir voice carries throughout the earth, their words to the end of the world. [God] placed in them a tent for the sun,Bechol-haaretz yatza kavam uviktzeh tevel mileyhem lashemesh sam-ohel bahem

9פִּקּוּדֵי יְהֹוָה יְשָׁרִים מְשַׂמְּחֵי־לֵב מִצְוַת יְהֹוָה בָּרָה מְאִירַת עֵינָֽיִםThe precepts of GOD are just, rejoicing the heart; the instruction of GOD is lucid, making the eyes light up.Pikudey Adonai yesharim mesamchey-lev mitzvat Adonai barah meirat eynayim

10יִרְאַת יְהֹוָה טְהוֹרָה עוֹמֶדֶת לָעַד מִֽשְׁפְּטֵי־יְהֹוָה אֱמֶת צָֽדְקוּ יַחְדָּֽוThe fear of GOD is pure, abiding forever; the judgments of GOD are true, righteous altogether,Yirat Adonai tehorah omedet laad mishptey-Adonai emet tzadku yachdav

11הַֽנֶּחֱמָדִים מִזָּהָב וּמִפַּז רָב וּמְתוּקִים מִדְּבַשׁ וְנֹפֶת צוּפִֽיםmore desirable than gold, than much fine gold; sweeter than honey, than drippings of the comb.Hanechemadim mizahav umipaz rav umtukim midvash venofet tzufim

12גַּֽם־עַבְדְּךָ נִזְהָר בָּהֶם בְּשׇׁמְרָם עֵקֶב רָֽבYour servant pays them heed; in obeying them there is much reward.Gam-avdcha nizhar bahem beshomram ekev rav

13שְׁגִיאוֹת מִֽי־יָבִין מִֽנִּסְתָּרוֹת נַקֵּֽנִיWho can be aware of errors? Clear me of unperceived guilt,Shegiot mi-yavin ministarot nakeni

14גַּם מִזֵּדִים חֲשֹׂךְ עַבְדֶּךָ אַֽל־יִמְשְׁלוּ־בִי אָז אֵיתָם וְנִקֵּיתִי מִפֶּשַֽׁע רָֽבand from willful sins keep Your servant; let them not dominate me; then shall I be blameless and clear of grave offense.Gam mizedim chasoch avdecha al-yimshlu-vi az eytam venikeyti mipesha rav

3יִשְׁלַֽח־עֶזְרְךָ מִקֹּדֶשׁ וּמִצִּיּוֹן יִסְעָדֶֽךָּsending you help from the sanctuary, and sustaining you from Zion.Yishlach-ezrcha mikodesh umitzion yisadecha

4יִזְכֹּר כׇּל־מִנְחֹתֶךָ וְעוֹלָתְךָ יְדַשְּׁנֶה סֶֽלָהMay [God] receive the tokens of all your grain offerings, and approve your burnt offerings. Selah.Yizkor kol-minchotecha veolatcha yedashneh selah

7עַתָּה יָדַעְתִּי כִּי הוֹשִׁיעַ יְהֹוָה מְשִׁיחוֹ יַעֲנֵהוּ מִשְּׁמֵי קׇדְשׁוֹ בִּגְבֻרוֹת יֵשַׁע יְמִינֽוֹNow I know that GOD will give victory to our anointed one, will answer him from the heavenly sanctuary with the mighty victories of God’s right arm.Atah yadati ki hoshia Adonai meshicho yaanehu mishmey kodsho bigvurot yesha yemino

8אֵלֶּה בָרֶכֶב וְאֵלֶּה בַסּוּסִים וַאֲנַחְנוּ בְּשֵׁם־יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ נַזְכִּֽירThey [call] on chariots, they [call] on horses, but we call on the name of the ETERNAL our God.Eleh varechev veeleh vasusim vaanachnu beshem-Adonai eloheynu nazkir
