1בָּרְכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהֹוָה יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי גָּדַלְתָּ מְּאֹד הוֹד וְהָדָר לָבָֽשְׁתָּBless the ETERNAL One, O my soul; O ETERNAL One, my God, You are very great; You are clothed in glory and majesty,Barchi nafshi et-Adonai Adonai elohay gadalta meod hod vehadar lavashta

2עֹֽטֶה־אוֹר כַּשַּׂלְמָה נוֹטֶה שָׁמַיִם כַּיְרִיעָֽהwrapped in a robe of light; You spread the heavens like a tent cloth.Oteh-or kasalmah noteh shamayim kayriah

3הַמְקָרֶה בַמַּיִם עֲֽלִיּוֹתָיו הַשָּׂם־עָבִים רְכוּבוֹ הַֽמְהַלֵּךְ עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רֽוּחַYou set the rafters of the heavenly lofts in the waters— making the clouds a chariot, moving on the wings of the wind.Hamkareh vamayim aliotayv hasam-avim rechuvo hamhalech al-kanfey-rucha

4עֹשֶׂה מַלְאָכָיו רוּחוֹת מְשָׁרְתָיו אֵשׁ לֹהֵֽטYou make messengers of the winds, servants of fiery flames.Oseh malachayv ruchot meshartayv esh lohet

5יָֽסַד־אֶרֶץ עַל־מְכוֹנֶיהָ בַּל־תִּמּוֹט עוֹלָם וָעֶֽדYou established the earth on its foundations, so that it shall never totter.Yasad-eretz al-mechoney bal-timot olam vaed

6תְּהוֹם כַּלְּבוּשׁ כִּסִּיתוֹ עַל־הָרִים יַעַמְדוּ־מָֽיִםYou made the deep cover it as a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.Tehom kalvush kisito al-harim yaamdu-mayim

7מִן־גַּעֲרָתְךָ יְנוּסוּן מִן־קוֹל רַעַמְךָ יֵחָפֵזֽוּןThey fled at Your blast, rushed away at the sound of Your thunder—Min-gaaratcha yenusun min-kol raamcha yechafezun

8יַעֲלוּ הָרִים יֵרְדוּ בְקָעוֹת אֶל־מְקוֹם זֶה יָסַדְתָּ לָהֶֽםmountains rising, valleys sinking— to the place You established for them.Yaalu harim yerdu vekaot el-mekom zeh yasadta lahem

9גְּֽבוּל־שַׂמְתָּ בַּל־יַעֲבֹרוּן בַּל־יְשֻׁבוּן לְכַסּוֹת הָאָֽרֶץYou set bounds they must not pass so that they never again cover the earth.Gevul-samta bal-yaavorun bal-yeshuvun lechasot haaretz

10הַֽמְשַׁלֵּחַ מַעְיָנִים בַּנְּחָלִים בֵּין הָרִים יְהַלֵּכֽוּןYou make springs gush forth in torrents; they make their way between the hills,Hamshalecha mayanim banchalim beyn harim yehalechun

11יַשְׁקוּ כׇּל־חַיְתוֹ שָׂדָי יִשְׁבְּרוּ פְרָאִים צְמָאָֽםgiving drink to all the wild beasts; the wild asses slake their thirst.Yashku kol-chayto saday yishbru feraim tzemaam

12עֲלֵיהֶם עוֹף־הַשָּׁמַיִם יִשְׁכּוֹן מִבֵּין עֳפָאיִם יִתְּנוּ־קֽוֹלThe birds of the sky dwell beside them and sing among the foliage.Aleyhem of-hashamayim yishkon mibeyn ofayim yitnu-kol

13מַשְׁקֶה הָרִים מֵעֲלִיּוֹתָיו מִפְּרִי מַעֲשֶׂיךָ תִּשְׂבַּע הָאָֽרֶץYou water the mountains from Your lofts; the earth is sated from the fruit of Your work.Mashkeh harim mealiotayv mipri maaseycha tisba haaretz

14מַצְמִיחַ חָצִיר לַבְּהֵמָה וְעֵשֶׂב לַעֲבֹדַת הָאָדָם לְהוֹצִיא לֶחֶם מִן־הָאָֽרֶץYou make the grass grow for the cattle, and herbage for humans’ labor that they may get food out of the earth—Matzmicha chatzir labhemah veesev laavodat haadam lehotzi lechem min-haaretz

15וְיַיִן יְשַׂמַּח לְֽבַב־אֱנוֹשׁ לְהַצְהִיל פָּנִים מִשָּׁמֶן וְלֶחֶם לְֽבַב־אֱנוֹשׁ יִסְעָֽדwine that cheers human hearts, oil that makes the face shine, and bread that sustains human life.Veyayin yesamach levav-enosh lehatzhil panim mishamen velechem levav-enosh yisad

16יִשְׂבְּעוּ עֲצֵי יְהֹוָה אַֽרְזֵי לְבָנוֹן אֲשֶׁר נָטָֽעThe trees of the ETERNAL drink their fill, the cedars of Lebanon, God’s own planting,Yisbu atzey Adonai arzey levanon asher nata

17אֲשֶׁר־שָׁם צִפֳּרִים יְקַנֵּנוּ חֲסִידָה בְּרוֹשִׁים בֵּיתָֽהּwhere birds make their nests; the stork has her home in the junipers.Asher-sham tziporim yekanenu chasidah beroshim beytah

18הָרִים הַגְּבֹהִים לַיְּעֵלִים סְלָעִים מַחְסֶה לַֽשְׁפַנִּֽיםThe high mountains are for wild goats; the crags are a refuge for rock-badgers.Harim hagvohim layelim selaim machseh lashfanim

19עָשָׂה יָרֵחַ לְמוֹעֲדִים שֶׁמֶשׁ יָדַע מְבוֹאֽוֹ[God] made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows when to set.Asah yarecha lemoadim shemesh yada mevoo

20תָּֽשֶׁת־חֹשֶׁךְ וִיהִי לָיְלָה בּוֹ־תִרְמֹשׂ כׇּל־חַיְתוֹ־יָֽעַרYou bring on darkness and it is night, when all the beasts of the forests stir.Tashet-choshech vihi laylah bo-tirmos kol-chayto-yaar

21הַכְּפִירִים שֹׁאֲגִים לַטָּרֶף וּלְבַקֵּשׁ מֵאֵל אׇכְלָֽםThe lions roar for prey, seeking their food from God.Hakfirim shoagim lataref ulvakesh meel ochlam

22תִּזְרַח הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ יֵאָסֵפוּן וְאֶל־מְעוֹנֹתָם יִרְבָּצֽוּןWhen the sun rises, they come home and couch in their dens.Tizrach hashemesh yeasefun veel-meonotam yirbatzun

23יֵצֵא אָדָם לְפׇעֳלוֹ וְֽלַעֲבֹדָתוֹ עֲדֵי־עָֽרֶבPeople then go out to their work, to their labor until the evening.Yetze adam lefoolo velaavodato adey-arev

24מָה־רַבּוּ מַעֲשֶׂיךָ יְֽהֹוָה כֻּלָּם בְּחׇכְמָה עָשִׂיתָ מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ קִנְיָנֶֽךָHow many are the things You have made, O ETERNAL One; You have made them all with wisdom; the earth is full of Your creations.Mah-rabu maaseycha yehovah kulam bechochmah asita malah haaretz kinyanecha

25זֶה הַיָּם גָּדוֹל וּרְחַב יָדָיִם שָֽׁם־רֶמֶשׂ וְאֵין מִסְפָּר חַיּוֹת קְטַנּוֹת עִם־גְּדֹלֽוֹתThere is the sea, vast and wide, with its creatures beyond number, living things, small and great.Zeh hayam gadol urchav yadayim sham-remes veeyn mispar chayot ketanot im-gedolot

26שָׁם אֳנִיּוֹת יְהַלֵּכוּן לִוְיָתָן זֶֽה־יָצַרְתָּ לְשַֽׂחֶק־בּֽוֹThere go the ships, and Leviathan that You formed to sport with.Sham oniot yehalechun livyatan zeh-yatzarta lesachek-bo

27כֻּלָּם אֵלֶיךָ יְשַׂבֵּרוּן לָתֵת אׇכְלָם בְּעִתּֽוֹAll of them look to You to give them their food when it is due.Kulam eleycha yesaberun latet ochlam beito

28תִּתֵּן לָהֶם יִלְקֹטוּן תִּפְתַּח יָדְךָ יִשְׂבְּעוּן טֽוֹבGive it to them, they gather it up; open Your hand, they are well satisfied;Titen lahem yilkotun tiftach yadcha yisbun tov

29תַּסְתִּיר פָּנֶיךָ יִֽבָּהֵלוּן תֹּסֵף רוּחָם יִגְוָעוּן וְֽאֶל־עֲפָרָם יְשׁוּבֽוּןhide Your face, they are terrified; take away their breath, they perish and turn again into dust;Tastir paneycha yibahelun tosef rucham yigvaun veel-afaram yeshuvun

30תְּשַׁלַּח רוּחֲךָ יִבָּרֵאוּן וּתְחַדֵּשׁ פְּנֵי אֲדָמָֽהsend back Your breath, they are created, and You renew the face of the earth.Teshalach ruchacha yibareun utchadesh peney adamah

31יְהִי כְבוֹד יְהֹוָה לְעוֹלָם יִשְׂמַח יְהֹוָה בְּמַעֲשָֽׂיוMay GOD’s glory endure forever; may GOD rejoice in these works!Yehi chevod Adonai leolam yismach Adonai bemaasayv

32הַמַּבִּיט לָאָרֶץ וַתִּרְעָד יִגַּע בֶּהָרִים וְֽיֶעֱשָֽׁנוּ—The One who looks at the earth and it trembles, touches the mountains and they smoke.Hamabit laaretz vatirad yiga beharim veyeeshanu

33אָשִׁירָה לַיהֹוָה בְּחַיָּי אֲזַמְּרָה לֵאלֹהַי בְּעוֹדִֽיI will sing to the ETERNAL as long as I live; all my life I will chant hymns to my God.Ashirah layhovah bechayay azamrah lelohay beodi

34יֶעֱרַב עָלָיו שִׂיחִי אָנֹכִי אֶשְׂמַח בַּיהֹוָֽהMay my prayer be found pleasing; I will rejoice in GOD.Yeerav alayv sichi anochi esmach bayhovah

35יִתַּמּוּ חַטָּאִים מִן־הָאָרֶץ וּרְשָׁעִים עוֹד אֵינָם בָּרְכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהֹוָה הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּMay sinners disappear from the earth, and the wicked be no more. Bless Yah, O my soul. Hallelujah.Yitamu chataim min-haaretz urshaim od eynam barchi nafshi et-Adonai hallu-yah

1הוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה קִרְאוּ בִשְׁמוֹ הוֹדִיעוּ בָעַמִּים עֲלִילוֹתָֽיוPraise GOD; call on this name; proclaim God’s deeds among the peoples.Hodu layhovah kiru vishmo hodiu vaamim alilotayv

2שִֽׁירוּ־לוֹ זַמְּרוּ־לוֹ שִׂיחוּ בְּכׇל־נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיוSing out praises; speak of all those wondrous acts.Shiru-lo zamru-lo sichu bechol-niflotayv

3הִֽתְהַלְלוּ בְּשֵׁם קׇדְשׁוֹ יִשְׂמַח לֵב מְבַקְשֵׁי יְהֹוָֽהExult in this holy name; let all who seek GOD rejoice.Hithallu beshem kodsho yismach lev mevakshey yehovah

4דִּרְשׁוּ יְהֹוָה וְעֻזּוֹ בַּקְּשׁוּ פָנָיו תָּמִֽידTurn to GOD, to divine might; seek God’s presence constantly.Dirshu Adonai veuzo bakshu fanayv tamid

5זִכְרוּ נִפְלְאוֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה מֹפְתָיו וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיוRemember the wonders that have been done, the portents, and judgments pronounced,Zichru niflotayv asher-asah moftayv umishptey-fiv

6זֶרַע אַבְרָהָם עַבְדּוֹ בְּנֵי יַעֲקֹב בְּחִירָֽיוO offspring of Abraham, God’s servant, O descendants of Jacob, the chosen ones.Zera avraham avdo beney yaakov bechirayv

7הוּא יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ בְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָֽיוThe ETERNAL is our God, whose judgments are throughout the earth.Hu Adonai eloheynu bechol-haaretz mishpatayv

8זָכַר לְעוֹלָם בְּרִיתוֹ דָּבָר צִוָּה לְאֶלֶף דּֽוֹר[God] is ever mindful of the covenant, the promise given for a thousand generations,Zachar leolam berito davar tzivah leelef dor

9אֲשֶׁר כָּרַת אֶת־אַבְרָהָם וּשְׁבוּעָתוֹ לְיִשְׂחָֽקthat was made with Abraham, sworn to Isaac,Asher karat et-avraham ushvuato leyischak

10וַיַּעֲמִידֶהָ לְיַעֲקֹב לְחֹק לְיִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרִית עוֹלָֽםand confirmed in a decree for Jacob, for Israel, as an eternal covenant,Vayaamideh leyaakov lechok leyisrael berit olam

11לֵאמֹר לְךָ אֶתֵּן אֶת־אֶֽרֶץ־כְּנָעַן חֶבֶל נַחֲלַתְכֶֽםsaying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your allotted heritage.”Lemor lecha eten et-eretz-kenaan chevel nachalatchem

12בִּֽהְיוֹתָם מְתֵי מִסְפָּר כִּמְעַט וְגָרִים בָּֽהּThey were then few in number, a mere handful, sojourning there,Bihyotam metey mispar kimat vegarim bah

13וַיִּֽתְהַלְּכוּ מִגּוֹי אֶל־גּוֹי מִמַּמְלָכָה אֶל־עַם אַחֵֽרwandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.Vayithalchu migoy el-goy mimamlachah el-am acher

14לֹא־הִנִּיחַ אָדָם לְעׇשְׁקָם וַיּוֹכַח עֲלֵיהֶם מְלָכִֽיםNone were allowed to oppress them; kings were reproved on their account,Lo-hinicha adam leoshkam vayochach aleyhem melachim

15אַֽל־תִּגְּעוּ בִמְשִׁיחָי וְלִנְבִיאַי אַל־תָּרֵֽעוּ“Do not touch My anointed ones; do not harm My prophets.”Al-tigu vimshichay velinviay al-tareu

16וַיִּקְרָא רָעָב עַל־הָאָרֶץ כׇּֽל־מַטֵּה־לֶחֶם שָׁבָֽרA famine was called down on the land, destroying every staff of bread.Vayikra raav al-haaretz kol-mateh-lechem shavar

17שָׁלַח לִפְנֵיהֶם אִישׁ לְעֶבֶד נִמְכַּר יוֹסֵֽף[God] sent ahead of them an agent— Joseph, sold into slavery.Shalach lifneyhem ish leeved nimkar yosef

18עִנּוּ בַכֶּבֶל (רגליו) [רַגְלוֹ] בַּרְזֶל בָּאָה נַפְשֽׁוֹHis feet were subjected to fetters; an iron collar was put on his neck.Inu vakevel (rglyv) [raglo] barzel baah nafsho

19עַד־עֵת בֹּא־דְבָרוֹ אִמְרַת יְהֹוָה צְרָפָֽתְהוּUntil his prediction came true GOD’s decree purged him.Ad-et bo-devaro imrat Adonai tzerafathu

20שָׁלַח מֶלֶךְ וַיַּתִּירֵהוּ מֹשֵׁל עַמִּים וַֽיְפַתְּחֵֽהוּThe king sent to have him freed; the ruler of nations released him.Shalach melech vayatirehu moshel amim vayfatchehu

21שָׂמוֹ אָדוֹן לְבֵיתוֹ וּמֹשֵׁל בְּכׇל־קִנְיָנֽוֹHe made him the lord of his household, empowered him over all his possessions,Samo adon leveyto umoshel bechol-kinyano

22לֶאְסֹר שָׂרָיו בְּנַפְשׁוֹ וּזְקֵנָיו יְחַכֵּֽםto discipline his princes at will, to teach his elders wisdom.Lesor sarayv benafsho uzkenayv yechakem

23וַיָּבֹא יִשְׂרָאֵל מִצְרָיִם וְיַעֲקֹב גָּר בְּאֶֽרֶץ־חָֽםThen Israel came to Egypt; Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.Vayavo yisrael mitzrayim veyaakov gar beeretz-cham

24וַיֶּפֶר אֶת־עַמּוֹ מְאֹד וַיַּעֲצִמֵהוּ מִצָּרָֽיו[God] made that people very fruitful, more numerous than their foes,Vayefer et-amo meod vayaatzimehu mitzarayv

25הָפַךְ לִבָּם לִשְׂנֹא עַמּוֹ לְהִתְנַכֵּל בַּעֲבָדָֽיוthen changed the heart [of the Egyptians] to hate this people, to plot against God’s servants.Hafach libam lisno amo lehitnakel baavadayv

26שָׁלַח מֹשֶׁה עַבְדּוֹ אַהֲרֹן אֲשֶׁר בָּחַר־בּֽוֹMoses—God’s servant—was sent, and Aaron, who had been chosen.Shalach mosheh avdo aharon asher bachar-bo

27שָֽׂמוּ־בָם דִּבְרֵי אֹתוֹתָיו וּמֹפְתִים בְּאֶרֶץ חָֽםThey performed God’s signs among them, and wonders, against the land of Ham.Samu-vam divrey ototayv umoftim beeretz cham

28שָׁלַֽח חֹשֶׁךְ וַיַּחְשִׁךְ וְלֹא־מָרוּ אֶת־[דְּבָרֽוֹ] (דבריו)[God] sent darkness; it was very dark; did they not defy God’s word?Shalach choshech vayachshich velo-maru et-[devaro] (dvryv)

29הָפַךְ אֶת־מֵימֵיהֶם לְדָם וַיָּמֶת אֶת־דְּגָתָֽםTheir waters were turned into blood and their fish were killed.Hafach et-meymeyhem ledam vayamet et-degatam

30שָׁרַץ אַרְצָם צְפַרְדְּעִים בְּחַדְרֵי מַלְכֵיהֶֽםTheir land teemed with frogs, even the rooms of their king.Sharatz artzam tzefardim bechadrey malcheyhem

31אָמַר וַיָּבֹא עָרֹב כִּנִּים בְּכׇל־גְּבוּלָֽםSwarms of insects came at God’s command, lice, throughout their country.Amar vayavo arov kinim bechol-gevulam

32נָתַן גִּשְׁמֵיהֶם בָּרָד אֵשׁ לֶהָבוֹת בְּאַרְצָֽםThey were given hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.Natan gishmeyhem barad esh lehavot beartzam

33וַיַּךְ גַּפְנָם וּתְאֵנָתָם וַיְשַׁבֵּר עֵץ גְּבוּלָֽםTheir vines and fig trees were struck, the trees of their country broken down.Vayach gafnam utenatam vayshaber etz gevulam

34אָמַר וַיָּבֹא אַרְבֶּה וְיֶלֶק וְאֵין מִסְפָּֽרLocusts came at God’s command, grasshoppers without number.Amar vayavo arbeh veyelek veeyn mispar

35וַיֹּאכַל כׇּל־עֵשֶׂב בְּאַרְצָם וַיֹּאכַל פְּרִי אַדְמָתָֽםThey devoured every green thing in the land; they consumed the produce of the soil.Vayochal kol-esev beartzam vayochal peri admatam

36וַיַּךְ כׇּל־בְּכוֹר בְּאַרְצָם רֵאשִׁית לְכׇל־אוֹנָֽם[God] struck down every [male] first-born in the land, the first fruit of their vigor.Vayach kol-bechor beartzam reshit lechol-onam

37וַֽיּוֹצִיאֵם בְּכֶסֶף וְזָהָב וְאֵין בִּשְׁבָטָיו כּוֹשֵֽׁלIsrael was led out with silver and gold; none among their tribes faltered.Vayotziem bechesef vezahav veeyn bishvatayv koshel

38שָׂמַח מִצְרַיִם בְּצֵאתָם כִּֽי־נָפַל פַּחְדָּם עֲלֵיהֶֽםEgypt rejoiced when they left, for dread of Israel had fallen upon them.Samach mitzrayim betzetam ki-nafal pachdam aleyhem

39פָּרַשׂ עָנָן לְמָסָךְ וְאֵשׁ לְהָאִיר לָֽיְלָה[God] spread a cloud for a cover, and fire to light up the night.Paras anan lemasach veesh lehair laylah

40שָׁאַל וַיָּבֵא שְׂלָו וְלֶחֶם שָׁמַיִם יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽםThey asked, and were brought quail, and were satisfied with food from heaven.Shaal vayave selav velechem shamayim yasbiem

41פָּתַח צוּר וַיָּזוּבוּ מָיִם הָלְכוּ בַּצִּיּוֹת נָהָֽר[God] opened a rock so that water gushed forth; it flowed as a stream in the parched land.Patach tzur vayazuvu mayim halchu batziot nahar

42כִּֽי־זָכַר אֶת־דְּבַר קׇדְשׁוֹ אֶֽת־אַבְרָהָם עַבְדּֽוֹMindful of the sacred promise to Abraham—God’s servant,Ki-zachar et-devar kodsho et-avraham avdo

43וַיּוֹצִא עַמּוֹ בְשָׂשׂוֹן בְּרִנָּה אֶת־בְּחִירָֽיוThe people were led out in gladness, God’s chosen ones with joyous song.Vayotzi amo vesason berinah et-bechirayv

44וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם אַרְצוֹת גּוֹיִם וַעֲמַל לְאֻמִּים יִירָֽשׁוּThey were given the lands of nations; they inherited the wealth of peoples,Vayiten lahem artzot goyim vaamal leumim yirashu

45בַּעֲבוּר יִשְׁמְרוּ חֻקָּיו וְתוֹרֹתָיו יִנְצֹרוּ הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּthat they might keep God’s laws and observe God’s teachings. Hallelujah.Baavur yishmru chukayv vetorotayv yintzoru hallu-yah
