Chapter 86
1תְּפִלָּה לְדָוִד הַטֵּֽה־יְהֹוָה אׇזְנְךָ עֲנֵנִי כִּֽי־עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן אָֽנִיA prayer of David. Incline Your ear, O ETERNAL One, answer me, for I am poor and needy.Tefilah ledavid hateh-Adonai ozncha aneni ki-ani veevyon ani
2שׇׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי כִּֽי־חָסִיד אָנִי הוֹשַׁע עַבְדְּךָ אַתָּה אֱלֹהַי הַבּוֹטֵחַ אֵלֶֽיךָPreserve my life, for I am steadfast; O You, my God, deliver Your servant who trusts in You.Shomrah nafshi ki-chasid ani hosha avdcha atah elohay habotecha eleycha
3חׇנֵּנִי אֲדֹנָי כִּי אֵלֶיךָ אֶקְרָא כׇּל־הַיּֽוֹםHave mercy on me, O my Sovereign, for I call to You all day long;Choneni adonay ki eleycha ekra kol-hayom
4שַׂמֵּחַ נֶפֶשׁ עַבְדֶּךָ כִּי אֵלֶיךָ אֲדֹנָי נַפְשִׁי אֶשָּֽׂאbring joy to Your servant’s life, for on You, my Sovereign, I set my hope.Samecha nefesh avdecha ki eleycha adonay nafshi esa
5כִּֽי־אַתָּה אֲדֹנָי טוֹב וְסַלָּח וְרַב־חֶסֶד לְכׇל־קֹֽרְאֶֽיךָFor You, my Sovereign, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on You.Ki-atah adonay tov vesalach verav-chesed lechol-koreycha
6הַאֲזִינָה יְהֹוָה תְּפִלָּתִי וְהַקְשִׁיבָה בְּקוֹל תַּחֲנוּנוֹתָֽיGive ear, O ETERNAL One, to my prayer; heed my plea for mercy.Haazinah Adonai tefilati vehakshivah bekol tachanunotay
7בְּיוֹם צָרָתִֽי אֶקְרָאֶךָּ כִּי תַעֲנֵֽנִיIn my time of trouble I call You, for You will answer me.Beyom tzarati ekraecha ki taaneni
8אֵין־כָּמוֹךָ בָאֱלֹהִים אֲדֹנָי וְאֵין כְּֽמַעֲשֶֽׂיךָThere is none like You among the gods, O my Sovereign, and there are no deeds like Yours.Eyn-kamocha vaelohim adonay veeyn kemaaseycha
9כׇּל־גּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתָ יָבוֹאוּ וְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְפָנֶיךָ אֲדֹנָי וִיכַבְּדוּ לִשְׁמֶֽךָAll the nations You have made will come to bow down before You, O my Sovereign, and they will pay honor to Your name.Kol-goyim asher asita yavou veyishtachavu lefaneycha adonay vichabdu lishmecha
10כִּֽי־גָדוֹל אַתָּה וְעֹשֵׂה נִפְלָאוֹת אַתָּה אֱלֹהִים לְבַדֶּֽךָFor You are great and perform wonders; You alone are God.Ki-gadol atah veoseh niflaot atah elohim levadecha
11הוֹרֵנִי יְהֹוָה דַּרְכֶּךָ אֲהַלֵּךְ בַּאֲמִתֶּךָ יַחֵד לְבָבִי לְיִרְאָה שְׁמֶֽךָTeach me Your way, O ETERNAL One; I will walk in Your truth; let my heart be undivided in reverence for Your name.Horeni Adonai darkecha ahalech baamitecha yached levavi leyirah shemecha
12אוֹדְךָ אֲדֹנָי אֱלֹהַי בְּכׇל־לְבָבִי וַאֲכַבְּדָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָֽםI will praise You, O my Sovereign, my God, with all my heart and pay honor to Your name forever.Odcha adonay elohay bechol-levavi vaachabdah shimcha leolam
13כִּֽי־חַסְדְּךָ גָּדוֹל עָלָי וְהִצַּלְתָּ נַפְשִׁי מִשְּׁאוֹל תַּחְתִּיָּֽהFor Your steadfast love toward me is great; You have saved me from the depths of Sheol.Ki-chasdcha gadol alay vehitzalta nafshi mishol tachtiyah
14אֱלֹהִים זֵדִים קָמוּ־עָלַי וַעֲדַת עָרִיצִים בִּקְשׁוּ נַפְשִׁי וְלֹא שָׂמוּךָ לְנֶגְדָּֽםO God, arrogant people have risen against me; a ruthless band seeks my life; they are not mindful of You.Elohim zedim kamu-alay vaadat aritzim bikshu nafshi velo samucha lenegdam
15וְאַתָּה אֲדֹנָי אֵל־רַחוּם וְחַנּוּן אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב־חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶֽתBut You, O my Sovereign, are a God compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.Veatah adonay el-rachum vechanun erech apayim verav-chesed veemet
16פְּנֵה אֵלַי וְחׇנֵּנִי תְּנָֽה־עֻזְּךָ לְעַבְדֶּךָ וְהוֹשִׁיעָה לְבֶן־אֲמָתֶֽךָTurn to me and have mercy on me; grant Your strength to Your servant and deliver the son of Your maidservant.Peneh elay vechoneni tenah-uzcha leavdecha vehoshiah leven-amatecha
17עֲשֵֽׂה־עִמִּי אוֹת לְטוֹבָה וְיִרְאוּ שֹׂנְאַי וְיֵבֹשׁוּ כִּֽי־אַתָּה יְהֹוָה עֲזַרְתַּנִי וְנִחַמְתָּֽנִיShow me a sign of Your favor, that my enemies may see and be frustrated because You, O ETERNAL One, have given me aid and comfort.Aseh-imi ot letovah veyiru sonay veyevoshu ki-atah Adonai azartani venichamtani
