2הַאֲזִינָה אֱלֹהִים תְּפִלָּתִי וְאַל־תִּתְעַלַּם מִתְּחִנָּתִֽיGive ear, O God, to my prayer; do not ignore my plea;Haazinah elohim tefilati veal-titalam mitchinati
3הַקְשִׁיבָה לִּי וַעֲנֵנִי אָרִיד בְּשִׂיחִי וְאָהִֽימָהpay heed to me and answer me. I am tossed about, complaining and moaningHakshivah li vaaneni arid besichi veahimah
4מִקּוֹל אוֹיֵב מִפְּנֵי עָקַת רָשָׁע כִּֽי־יָמִיטוּ עָלַי אָוֶן וּבְאַף יִשְׂטְמֽוּנִיat the clamor of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked; for they bring evil upon me and furiously harass me.Mikol oyev mipney akat rasha ki-yamitu alay aven uvaf yistmuni
5לִבִּי יָחִיל בְּקִרְבִּי וְאֵימוֹת מָוֶת נָפְלוּ עָלָֽיMy heart is convulsed within me; terrors of death assail me.Libi yachil bekirbi veeymot mavet naflu alay
6יִרְאָה וָרַעַד יָבֹא בִי וַתְּכַסֵּנִי פַּלָּצֽוּתFear and trembling invade me; I am clothed with horror.Yirah varaad yavo vi vatchaseni palatzut
7וָאֹמַר מִֽי־יִתֶּן־לִי אֵבֶר כַּיּוֹנָה אָעוּפָה וְאֶשְׁכֹּֽנָהI said, “O that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and find rest;Vaomar mi-yiten-li ever kayonah aufah veeshkonah
8הִנֵּה אַרְחִיק נְדֹד אָלִין בַּמִּדְבָּר סֶֽלָהsurely, I would flee far off; I would lodge in the wilderness; selahHineh archik nedod alin bamidbar selah
9אָחִישָׁה מִפְלָט לִי מֵרוּחַ סֹעָה מִסָּֽעַרI would soon find me a refuge from the sweeping wind, from the tempest.”Achishah miflat li merucha soah misaar
10בַּלַּע אֲדֹנָי פַּלַּג לְשׁוֹנָם כִּֽי־רָאִיתִי חָמָס וְרִיב בָּעִֽירO my Sovereign, confound their speech, confuse it! For I see lawlessness and strife in the city;Bala adonay palag leshonam ki-raiti chamas veriv bair
11יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה יְסוֹבְבֻהָ עַל־חוֹמֹתֶיהָ וְאָוֶן וְעָמָל בְּקִרְבָּֽהּday and night they make their rounds on its walls; evil and mischief are inside it.Yomam valaylah yesovvu al-chomotey veaven veamal bekirbah
12הַוּוֹת בְּקִרְבָּהּ וְֽלֹא־יָמִישׁ מֵרְחֹבָהּ תֹּךְ וּמִרְמָֽהMalice is within it; fraud and deceit never leave its square.Hauot bekirbah velo-yamish merchovah toch umirmah
13כִּי לֹֽא־אוֹיֵב יְחָֽרְפֵנִי וְאֶשָּׂא לֹא־מְשַׂנְאִי עָלַי הִגְדִּיל וְאֶסָּתֵר מִמֶּֽנּוּIt is not an enemy who reviles me —I could bear that; it is not my foe who boasts against me —for then I could hide;Ki lo-oyev yecharfeni veesa lo-mesani alay higdil veesater mimenu
14וְאַתָּה אֱנוֹשׁ כְּעֶרְכִּי אַלּוּפִי וּמְיֻדָּעִֽיbut it is you, my equal, my companion, my friend;Veatah enosh keerki alufi umyudai
15אֲשֶׁר יַחְדָּו נַמְתִּיק סוֹד בְּבֵית אֱלֹהִים נְהַלֵּךְ בְּרָֽגֶשׁsweet was our fellowship; we walked together in God’s house.Asher yachdav namtik sod beveyt elohim nehalech beragesh
16(ישימות) [יַשִּׁי מָוֶת ] עָלֵימוֹ יֵרְדוּ שְׁאוֹל חַיִּים כִּֽי־רָעוֹת בִּמְגוּרָם בְּקִרְבָּֽםLet [God] incite death against them; may they go down alive into Sheol! For where they dwell, there evil is.(yshymvt) [yashi mavet ]] aleymo yerdu sheol chayim ki-raot bimguram bekirbam
17אֲנִי אֶל־אֱלֹהִים אֶקְרָא וַיהֹוָה יוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִיAs for me, I call to God; GOD will deliver me.Ani el-elohim ekra vayhovah yoshieni
18עֶרֶב וָבֹקֶר וְצׇהֳרַיִם אָשִׂיחָה וְאֶהֱמֶה וַיִּשְׁמַע קוֹלִֽיEvening, morning, and noon, I complain and moan, and my voice is heard.Erev vavoker vetzohorayim asichah veehemeh vayishma koli
19פָּדָה בְשָׁלוֹם נַפְשִׁי מִקְּרׇב־לִי כִּֽי־בְרַבִּים הָיוּ עִמָּדִֽי[God] redeems me unharmed from the battle against me; it is as though many are on my side.Padah veshalom nafshi mikrov-li ki-verabim hayu imadi
20יִשְׁמַע אֵל וְֽיַעֲנֵם וְיֹשֵׁב קֶדֶם סֶלָה אֲשֶׁר אֵין חֲלִיפוֹת לָמוֹ וְלֹא יָרְאוּ אֱלֹהִֽיםGod who has reigned from the first, who will have no successor, hears and humbles those who show no reverence. Selah.Yishma el veyaanem veyoshev kedem selah asher eyn chalifot lamo velo yaru elohim

23הַשְׁלֵךְ עַל־יְהֹוָה יְהָבְךָ וְהוּא יְכַלְכְּלֶךָ לֹא־יִתֵּן לְעוֹלָם מוֹט לַצַּדִּֽיקCast your burden on GOD and you will be sustained; the righteous will never be allowed to collapse.Hashlech al-Adonai yehavcha vehu yechalklecha lo-yiten leolam mot latzadik
24וְאַתָּה אֱלֹהִים תּוֹרִדֵם לִבְאֵר שַׁחַת אַנְשֵׁי דָמִים וּמִרְמָה לֹא־יֶחֱצוּ יְמֵיהֶם וַאֲנִי אֶבְטַח־בָּֽךְFor You, O God, will bring them down to the nethermost Pit— those treacherous murderers; they shall not live out half their days— but I trust in You.Veatah elohim toridem liver shachat anshey damim umirmah lo-yechetzu yemeyhem vaani evtach-bach
