Chapter 123
1שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת אֵלֶיךָ נָשָׂאתִי אֶת־עֵינַי הַיֹּשְׁבִי בַּשָּׁמָֽיִםA song of ascents. To You, enthroned in heaven, I turn my eyes.Shir hamaalot eleycha nasati et-eynay hayoshvi bashamayim
2הִנֵּה כְעֵינֵי עֲבָדִים אֶל־יַד אֲֽדוֹנֵיהֶם כְּעֵינֵי שִׁפְחָה אֶל־יַד גְּבִרְתָּהּ כֵּן עֵינֵינוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ עַד שֶׁיְּחׇנֵּֽנוּAs the eyes of servants follow their master’s hand, as the eyes of a maid follow the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are toward the ETERNAL our God, awaiting divine favor.Hineh cheeyney avadim el-yad adoneyhem keeyney shifchah el-yad gevirtah ken eyneynu el-Adonai eloheynu ad sheychonenu
3חׇנֵּנוּ יְהֹוָה חׇנֵּנוּ כִּי־רַב שָׂבַעְנוּ בֽוּזShow us favor, O ETERNAL One, show us favor! We have had more than enough of contempt.Chonenu Adonai chonenu ki-rav savanu vuz
4רַבַּת שָֽׂבְעָה־לָּהּ נַפְשֵׁנוּ הַלַּעַג הַשַּֽׁאֲנַנִּים הַבּוּז (לגאיונים) [לִגְאֵי יוֹנִֽים]Long enough have we endured the scorn of the complacent, the contempt of the haughty.Rabat savah-lah nafshenu halaag hashaananim habuz (lgyvnym) [ligey yonim]
