2מִי יְמַלֵּל גְּבוּרוֹת יְהֹוָה יַשְׁמִיעַ כׇּל־תְּהִלָּתֽוֹWho can tell GOD’s mighty acts, proclaim all due praises?Mi yemalel gevurot Adonai yashmia kol-tehilato

3אַשְׁרֵי שֹׁמְרֵי מִשְׁפָּט עֹשֵׂה צְדָקָה בְכׇל־עֵֽתHappy are those who act justly, who do right at all times.Ashrey shomrey mishpat oseh tzedakah vechol-et

4זׇכְרֵנִי יְהֹוָה בִּרְצוֹן עַמֶּךָ פׇּקְדֵנִי בִּישׁוּעָתֶֽךָBe mindful of me, O ETERNAL One, when You favor Your people; take note of me when You deliver them,Zochreni Adonai birtzon amecha pokdeni bishuatecha

5לִרְאוֹת בְּטוֹבַת בְּחִירֶיךָ לִשְׂמֹחַ בְּשִׂמְחַת גּוֹיֶךָ לְהִתְהַלֵּל עִם־נַחֲלָתֶֽךָthat I may enjoy the prosperity of Your chosen ones, share the joy of Your nation, glory in Your very own people.Lirot betovat bechireycha lismocha besimchat goyecha lehithalel im-nachalatecha

7אֲבוֹתֵינוּ בְמִצְרַיִם לֹא־הִשְׂכִּילוּ נִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָ לֹא זָכְרוּ אֶת־רֹב חֲסָדֶיךָ וַיַּמְרוּ עַל־יָם בְּיַם־סֽוּףOur ancestors in Egypt did not perceive Your wonders; they did not remember Your abundant love, but rebelled at the sea, at the Sea of Reeds.Avoteynu vemitzrayim lo-hiskilu nifloteycha lo zachru et-rov chasadeycha vayamru al-yam beyam-suf

10וַֽיּוֹשִׁיעֵם מִיַּד שׂוֹנֵא וַיִּגְאָלֵם מִיַּד אוֹיֵֽבThey were delivered from the foe, redeemed from the enemy.Vayoshiem miyad sone vayigalem miyad oyev

11וַיְכַסּוּ־מַיִם צָרֵיהֶם אֶחָד מֵהֶם לֹא נוֹתָֽרWater covered their adversaries; not one of them was left.Vaychasu-mayim tzareyhem echad mehem lo notar

12וַיַּאֲמִינוּ בִדְבָרָיו יָשִׁירוּ תְּהִלָּתֽוֹThen they believed God’s promise, and sang God’s praises.Vayaaminu vidvarayv yashiru tehilato

13מִהֲרוּ שָׁכְחוּ מַעֲשָׂיו לֹא־חִכּוּ לַעֲצָתֽוֹBut they soon forgot those deeds; they would not wait to learn the divine plan.Miharu shachchu maasayv lo-chiku laatzato

14וַיִּתְאַוּוּ תַאֲוָה בַּמִּדְבָּר וַיְנַסּוּ־אֵל בִּישִׁימֽוֹןThey were seized with craving in the wilderness, and put God to the test in the wasteland.Vayitauu taavah bamidbar vaynasu-el bishimon

15וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם שֶׁאֱלָתָם וַיְשַׁלַּח רָזוֹן בְּנַפְשָֽׁםThey were given what they asked for, then made to waste away.Vayiten lahem sheelatam vayshalach razon benafsham

16וַיְקַנְאוּ לְמֹשֶׁה בַּֽמַּחֲנֶה לְאַהֲרֹן קְדוֹשׁ יְהֹוָֽהThere was envy of Moses in the camp, and of Aaron, GOD’s holy one.Vaykanu lemosheh bamachaneh leaharon kedosh yehovah

17תִּפְתַּח־אֶרֶץ וַתִּבְלַע דָּתָן וַתְּכַס עַל־עֲדַת אֲבִירָֽםThe earth opened up and swallowed Dathan, closed over the party of Abiram.Tiftach-eretz vativla datan vatchas al-adat aviram

18וַתִּבְעַר־אֵשׁ בַּעֲדָתָם לֶהָבָה תְּלַהֵט רְשָׁעִֽיםA fire blazed among their party, a flame that consumed the wicked.Vativar-esh baadatam lehavah telahet reshaim

19יַעֲשׂוּ־עֵגֶל בְּחֹרֵב וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְמַסֵּכָֽהThey made a calf at Horeb and bowed down to a molten image.Yaasu-egel bechorev vayishtachavu lemasechah

20וַיָּמִירוּ אֶת־כְּבוֹדָם בְּתַבְנִית שׁוֹר אֹכֵל עֵֽשֶׂבThey exchanged their glory for the image of a bull that feeds on grass.Vayamiru et-kevodam betavnit shor ochel esev

21שָׁכְחוּ אֵל מוֹשִׁיעָם עֹשֶׂה גְדֹלוֹת בְּמִצְרָֽיִםThey forgot God who saved them, who performed great deeds in Egypt,Shachchu el moshiam oseh gedolot bemitzrayim

22נִפְלָאוֹת בְּאֶרֶץ חָם נוֹרָאוֹת עַל־יַם־סֽוּףwondrous deeds in the land of Ham, awesome deeds at the Sea of Reeds.Niflaot beeretz cham noraot al-yam-suf

23וַיֹּאמֶר לְֽהַשְׁמִידָם לוּלֵי מֹשֶׁה בְחִירוֹ עָמַד בַּפֶּרֶץ לְפָנָיו לְהָשִׁיב חֲמָתוֹ מֵהַשְׁחִֽיתThey would have been destroyed had not Moses, God’s chosen one, stood in the breach to avert God’s destructive wrath.Vayomer lehashmidam luley mosheh vechiro amad baperetz lefanayv lehashiv chamato mehashchit

24וַֽיִּמְאֲסוּ בְּאֶרֶץ חֶמְדָּה לֹא־הֶאֱמִינוּ לִדְבָרֽוֹThey rejected the desirable land, and put no faith in the divine promise.Vayimasu beeretz chemdah lo-heeminu lidvaro

25וַיֵּרָגְנוּ בְאׇהֳלֵיהֶם לֹא שָׁמְעוּ בְּקוֹל יְהֹוָֽהThey grumbled in their tents and disobeyed GOD.Vayeragnu veoholeyhem lo shamu bekol yehovah

26וַיִּשָּׂא יָדוֹ לָהֶם לְהַפִּיל אוֹתָם בַּמִּדְבָּֽרSo a divine hand was raised in oath to make them fall in the wilderness,Vayisa yado lahem lehapil otam bamidbar

27וּלְהַפִּיל זַרְעָם בַּגּוֹיִם וּלְזָרוֹתָם בָּאֲרָצֽוֹתto disperse their offspring among the nations and scatter them through the lands.Ulhapil zaram bagoyim ulzarotam baaratzot

28וַיִּצָּמְדוּ לְבַעַל פְּעוֹר וַיֹּאכְלוּ זִבְחֵי מֵתִֽיםThey attached themselves to Baal Peor, ate sacrifices offered to the dead.Vayitzamdu levaal peor vayochlu zivchey metim

29וַיַּכְעִיסוּ בְּמַעַלְלֵיהֶם וַתִּפְרׇץ־בָּם מַגֵּפָֽהThey provoked anger by their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.Vayachisu bemaalleyhem vatifrotz-bam magefah

30וַיַּעֲמֹד פִּֽינְחָס וַיְפַלֵּל וַתֵּעָצַר הַמַּגֵּפָֽהPhinehas stepped forth and intervened, and the plague ceased.Vayaamod pinchas vayfalel vateatzar hamagefah

31וַתֵּחָשֶׁב לוֹ לִצְדָקָה לְדֹר וָדֹר עַד־עוֹלָֽםIt was reckoned to his merit for all generations, to eternity.Vatechashev lo litzdakah ledor vador ad-olam

32וַיַּקְצִיפוּ עַל־מֵי מְרִיבָה וַיֵּרַע לְמֹשֶׁה בַּעֲבוּרָֽםThey provoked wrath at the waters of Meribah and Moses suffered on their account,Vayaktzifu al-mey merivah vayera lemosheh baavuram

33כִּי־הִמְרוּ אֶת־רוּחוֹ וַיְבַטֵּא בִּשְׂפָתָֽיוbecause they rebelled against [God] and he spoke rashly.Ki-himru et-rucho vayvate bisfatayv

34לֹֽא־הִשְׁמִידוּ אֶת־הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר אָמַר יְהֹוָה לָהֶֽםThey did not destroy the nations as GOD had commanded them,Lo-hishmidu et-haamim asher amar Adonai lahem

35וַיִּתְעָרְבוּ בַגּוֹיִם וַֽיִּלְמְדוּ מַעֲשֵׂיהֶֽםbut mingled with the nations and learned their ways.Vayitarvu vagoyim vayilmdu maaseyhem

36וַיַּעַבְדוּ אֶת־עֲצַבֵּיהֶם וַיִּהְיוּ לָהֶם לְמוֹקֵֽשׁThey worshiped their idols, which became a snare for them.Vayaavdu et-atzabeyhem vayihyu lahem lemokesh

37וַיִּזְבְּחוּ אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶם וְאֶת־בְּנוֹתֵיהֶם לַשֵּׁדִֽיםTheir own sons and daughters they sacrificed to demons.Vayizbchu et-beneyhem veet-benoteyhem lashedim

38וַיִּשְׁפְּכוּ דָם נָקִי דַּם־בְּנֵיהֶם וּֽבְנוֹתֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר זִבְּחוּ לַעֲצַבֵּי כְנָעַן וַתֶּחֱנַף הָאָרֶץ בַּדָּמִֽיםThey shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; so the land was polluted with bloodguilt.Vayishpchu dam naki dam-beneyhem uvnoteyhem asher zibchu laatzabey chenaan vatechenaf haaretz badamim

39וַיִּטְמְאוּ בְמַעֲשֵׂיהֶם וַיִּזְנוּ בְּמַעַלְלֵיהֶֽםThus they became defiled by their acts, debauched through their deeds.Vayitmu vemaaseyhem vayiznu bemaalleyhem

40וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהֹוָה בְּעַמּוֹ וַיְתָעֵב אֶת־נַחֲלָתֽוֹGOD was angry with this people and abhorred them as an inheritance.Vayichar-af Adonai beamo vaytaev et-nachalato

41וַיִּתְּנֵם בְּיַד־גּוֹיִם וַֽיִּמְשְׁלוּ בָהֶם שֹׂנְאֵיהֶֽםThey were handed over to the nations; their foes ruled them.Vayitnem beyad-goyim vayimshlu vahem soneyhem

42וַיִּלְחָצוּם אוֹיְבֵיהֶם וַיִּכָּנְעוּ תַּחַת יָדָֽםTheir enemies oppressed them and they were subject to their power.Vayilchatzum oyveyhem vayikanu tachat yadam

43פְּעָמִים רַבּוֹת יַצִּילֵם וְהֵמָּה יַמְרוּ בַעֲצָתָם וַיָּמֹכּוּ בַּעֲוֺנָֽםThey were saved time and again, but they were deliberately rebellious, and so they were brought low by their iniquity.Peamim rabot yatzilem vehemah yamru vaatzatam vayamoku baaonam

44וַיַּרְא בַּצַּר לָהֶם בְּשׇׁמְעוֹ אֶת־רִנָּתָֽםUpon seeing that they were in distress, and hearing their cry,Vayar batzar lahem beshomo et-rinatam

45וַיִּזְכֹּר לָהֶם בְּרִיתוֹ וַיִּנָּחֵם כְּרֹב חֲסָדָֽו[God] was mindful of the covenant and in great faithfulness relented.Vayizkor lahem berito vayinachem kerov chasadav

46וַיִּתֵּן אוֹתָם לְרַחֲמִים לִפְנֵי כׇּל־שׁוֹבֵיהֶֽםTheir captors were made to be kindly disposed toward them.Vayiten otam lerachamim lifney kol-shoveyhem

47הֽוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ וְקַבְּצֵנוּ מִֽן־הַגּוֹיִם לְהֹדוֹת לְשֵׁם קׇדְשֶׁךָ לְהִשְׁתַּבֵּחַ בִּתְהִלָּתֶֽךָDeliver us, our ETERNAL God, and gather us from among the nations, to acclaim Your holy name, to glory in Your praise.Hoshienu Adonai eloheynu vekabtzenu min-hagoyim lehodot leshem kodshecha lehishtabecha bithilatecha

4תָּעוּ בַמִּדְבָּר בִּישִׁימוֹן דָּרֶךְ עִיר מוֹשָׁב לֹא מָצָֽאוּSome lost their way in the wilderness, in the wasteland; they found no settled place.Tau vamidbar bishimon darech ir moshav lo matzau

5רְעֵבִים גַּם־צְמֵאִים נַפְשָׁם בָּהֶם תִּתְעַטָּֽףHungry and thirsty, their spirit failed.Reevim gam-tzemeim nafsham bahem titataf

7וַֽיַּדְרִיכֵם בְּדֶרֶךְ יְשָׁרָה לָלֶכֶת אֶל־עִיר מוֹשָֽׁבThey were shown a direct way to reach a settled place.Vayadrichem bederech yesharah lalechet el-ir moshav

8יוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽםLet them give praise for GOD’s steadfast love and wondrous deeds for humankind—Yodu layhovah chasdo veniflotayv livney adam

9כִּֽי־הִשְׂבִּיעַ נֶפֶשׁ שֹׁקֵקָה וְנֶפֶשׁ רְעֵבָה מִלֵּא־טֽוֹבfor satisfying the thirsty, and filling the hungry with all good things.Ki-hisbia nefesh shokekah venefesh reevah mile-tov

10יֹשְׁבֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת אֲסִירֵי עֳנִי וּבַרְזֶֽלSome lived in deepest darkness, bound in cruel irons,Yoshvey choshech vetzalmavet asirey oni uvarzel

11כִּֽי־הִמְרוּ אִמְרֵי־אֵל וַעֲצַת עֶלְיוֹן נָאָֽצוּbecause they defied the word of God, spurned the counsel of the Most High.Ki-himru imrey-el vaatzat elyon naatzu

12וַיַּכְנַע בֶּעָמָל לִבָּם כָּשְׁלוּ וְאֵין עֹזֵֽרTheir hearts were humbled through suffering; they stumbled with no one to help.Vayachna beamal libam kashlu veeyn ozer

13וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵֽםIn their adversity they cried to GOD, and were rescued from their troubles.Vayizaku el-Adonai batzar lahem mimtzukoteyhem yoshiem

14יוֹצִיאֵם מֵחֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת וּמוֹסְרוֹתֵיהֶם יְנַתֵּֽקThey were brought out of deepest darkness, their bonds broken asunder.Yotziem mechoshech vetzalmavet umosroteyhem yenatek

16כִּי־שִׁבַּר דַּלְתוֹת נְחֹשֶׁת וּבְרִיחֵי בַרְזֶל גִּדֵּֽעַshattering gates of bronze, breaking their iron bars.Ki-shibar daltot nechoshet uvrichey varzel gidea

17אֱוִלִים מִדֶּרֶךְ פִּשְׁעָם וּֽמֵעֲוֺנֹתֵיהֶם יִתְעַנּֽוּThere were fools who suffered for their sinful way, and for their iniquities.Evilim miderech pisham umeaonoteyhem yitanu

18כׇּל־אֹכֶל תְּתַעֵב נַפְשָׁם וַיַּגִּיעוּ עַד־שַׁעֲרֵי מָֽוֶתAll food was loathsome to them; they reached the gates of death.Kol-ochel tetaev nafsham vayagiu ad-shaarey mavet

19וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵֽםIn their adversity they cried to GOD and they were saved from their troubles.Vayizaku el-Adonai batzar lahem mimtzukoteyhem yoshiem

20יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיִרְפָּאֵם וִימַלֵּט מִשְּׁחִֽיתוֹתָֽם[God] gave an order and healed them— delivering them from the pits.Yishlach devaro veyirpaem vimalet mishchitotam

21יוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽםLet them give praise for GOD’s steadfast love and wondrous deeds for humankind.Yodu layhovah chasdo veniflotayv livney adam

22וְיִזְבְּחוּ זִבְחֵי תוֹדָה וִיסַפְּרוּ מַעֲשָׂיו בְּרִנָּֽהLet them offer thanksgiving sacrifices, and tell those deeds in joyful song.Veyizbchu zivchey todah visapru maasayv berinah

23יוֹרְדֵי הַיָּם בׇּאֳנִיּוֹת עֹשֵׂי מְלָאכָה בְּמַיִם רַבִּֽיםOthers go down to the sea in ships, ply their trade in the mighty waters;Yordey hayam booniot osey melachah bemayim rabim

24הֵמָּה רָאוּ מַעֲשֵׂי יְהֹוָה וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו בִּמְצוּלָֽהthey have seen GOD’s works and such wonders in the deep.Hemah rau maasey Adonai veniflotayv bimtzulah

25וַיֹּאמֶר וַֽיַּעֲמֵד רוּחַ סְעָרָה וַתְּרוֹמֵם גַּלָּֽיוGod’s word raised a storm wind that made the waves surge.Vayomer vayaamed rucha searah vatromem galayv

26יַעֲלוּ שָׁמַיִם יֵרְדוּ תְהוֹמוֹת נַפְשָׁם בְּרָעָה תִתְמוֹגָֽגMounting up to the heaven, plunging down to the depths, disgorging in their misery,Yaalu shamayim yerdu tehomot nafsham beraah titmogag

27יָחוֹגּוּ וְיָנוּעוּ כַּשִּׁכּוֹר וְכׇל־חׇכְמָתָם תִּתְבַּלָּֽעthey reeled and staggered like a drunk, all their skill to no avail.Yachogu veyanuu kashikor vechol-chochmatam titbala

28וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה בַּצַּר לָהֶם וּֽמִמְּצוּקֹתֵיהֶם יוֹצִיאֵֽםIn their adversity they cried to GOD, and were saved from their troubles.Vayitzaku el-Adonai batzar lahem umimtzukoteyhem yotziem

33יָשֵׂם נְהָרוֹת לְמִדְבָּר וּמֹצָאֵי מַיִם לְצִמָּאֽוֹןThe rivers are turned into a wilderness, springs of water into thirsty land,Yasem neharot lemidbar umotzaey mayim letzimaon

34אֶרֶץ פְּרִי לִמְלֵחָה מֵרָעַת יוֹשְׁבֵי בָֽהּfruitful land into a salt marsh, because of the wickedness of its inhabitants.Eretz peri limlechah meraat yoshvey vah

35יָשֵׂם מִדְבָּר לַאֲגַם־מַיִם וְאֶרֶץ צִיָּה לְמֹצָאֵי מָֽיִםThe wilderness is turned into pools, parched land into springs of water.Yasem midbar laagam-mayim veeretz tziyah lemotzaey mayim

36וַיּוֹשֶׁב שָׁם רְעֵבִים וַיְכוֹנְנוּ עִיר מוֹשָֽׁבThere the hungry are settled; they build a place to settle in.Vayoshev sham reevim vaychonnu ir moshav

37וַיִּזְרְעוּ שָׂדוֹת וַיִּטְּעוּ כְרָמִים וַיַּעֲשׂוּ פְּרִי תְבוּאָֽהThey sow fields and plant vineyards that yield a fruitful harvest.Vayizru sadot vayitu cheramim vayaasu peri tevuah
