2הַאֻמְנָם אֵלֶם צֶדֶק תְּדַבֵּרוּן מֵישָׁרִים תִּשְׁפְּטוּ בְּנֵי אָדָֽםO mighty ones, do you really decree what is just? Do you judge humankind with equity?Haumnam elem tzedek tedaberun meysharim tishptu beney adam
3אַף־בְּלֵב עוֹלֹת תִּפְעָלוּן בָּאָרֶץ חֲמַס יְדֵיכֶם תְּפַלֵּסֽוּןIn your minds you devise wrongdoing in the land; with your hands you deal out lawlessness.Af-belev olot tifalun baaretz chamas yedeychem tefalesun
4זֹרוּ רְשָׁעִים מֵרָחֶם תָּעוּ מִבֶּטֶן דֹּבְרֵי כָזָֽבThe wicked are defiant from birth; the liars go astray from the womb.Zoru reshaim merachem tau mibeten dovrey chazav
5חֲמַת־לָמוֹ כִּדְמוּת חֲמַת־נָחָשׁ כְּמוֹ־פֶתֶן חֵרֵשׁ יַאְטֵם אׇזְנֽוֹTheir venom is like that of a snake, a deaf viper that stops its earsChamat-lamo kidmut chamat-nachash kemo-feten cheresh yatem ozno
6אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא־יִשְׁמַע לְקוֹל מְלַחֲשִׁים חוֹבֵר חֲבָרִים מְחֻכָּֽםso as not to hear the voice of charmers or the expert mutterer of spells.Asher lo-yishma lekol melachashim chover chavarim mechukam
7אֱֽלֹהִים הֲרׇס־שִׁנֵּימֽוֹ בְּפִימוֹ מַלְתְּעוֹת כְּפִירִים נְתֹץ יְהֹוָֽהO God, smash their teeth in their mouth; shatter the fangs of lions, O ETERNAL One;Elohim haros-shineymo befimo maltot kefirim netotz yehovah
8יִמָּאֲסוּ כְמוֹ־מַיִם יִתְהַלְּכוּ־לָמוֹ יִדְרֹךְ חִצָּו כְּמוֹ יִתְמֹלָֽלוּlet them melt, let them vanish like water— aim Your arrows that they be cut down—Yimaasu chemo-mayim yithalchu-lamo yidroch chitzav kemo yitmolalu
9כְּמוֹ שַׁבְּלוּל תֶּמֶס יַהֲלֹךְ נֵפֶל אֵשֶׁת בַּל־חָזוּ שָֽׁמֶשׁlike a snail that melts away as it moves; like a woman’s stillbirth—may they never see the sun!Kemo shablul temes yahaloch nefel eshet bal-chazu shamesh
10בְּטֶרֶם יָבִינוּ סִּירֹתֵכֶם אָטָד כְּמוֹ־חַי כְּמוֹ־חָרוֹן יִשְׂעָרֶֽנּוּBefore the thorns grow into a bramble, whirl them away alive in fury.Beterem yavinu sirotechem atad kemo-chay kemo-charon yisarenu
11יִשְׂמַח צַדִּיק כִּי־חָזָה נָקָם פְּעָמָיו יִרְחַץ בְּדַם הָרָשָֽׁעThe righteous will rejoice when they see revenge; they will bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.Yismach tzadik ki-chazah nakam peamayv yirchatz bedam harasha
12וְיֹאמַר אָדָם אַךְ־פְּרִי לַצַּדִּיק אַךְ יֵשׁ־אֱלֹהִים שֹׁפְטִים בָּאָֽרֶץPeople will say, “There is, then, a reward for the righteous; there is, indeed, divine justice on earth.”Veyomar adam ach-peri latzadik ach yesh-elohim shoftim baaretz
